I have been looking and searching for these graphics, they pop out as a scenario in my Civ Content section, which is weird, because it doesent show up in the folder... well, anyways, anybody know where I can find these graphics, if you see the choice I selected in the pic, thats the one. I guess the version is called Snoopy's Version 4.1? :)

That folder isn't just for scenarios, it's also for rule and graphics mods. You can just double click it and start up just like a new game with those graphics.

@ CorwinAbout your game, the AI cities built near your capital will probably flip sooner of later.

They both flipped last night. Werd.:)

In C3C no - for a time in Vanilla it was possible to load an army to a boat and then unload the units from the boat (and army), but it was patched somewhere along the line and that feature never came back. That's why you'll see swordsmen armies attacking Infantrymen.

I can't wait to attack an infantry with my Army of two Mayan UU and one swordsman! Imagine that. :crazyeye:

I would hope you have disbanned that army by the time infantry are around. I would not like a JTJTSword army attacking an infantry, may as well get the 100 shields for it as to lose for nothing.

vmxa: On higher levels I'm usually trying to collect enough armies to qualify for the Pentagon so it will still be around and a Sword Army has a reasonable chance of winning against an exposed infantry. The Sword Army attacks at about 4.5 with 12-15 hit points against an AI regular infantry which is usually defense 10 with 2-3 HP. There's a pretty good chance that I'll win that battle and if not, with the army's extra movement point there's a chance he can withdraw to heal. I also like to keep them around to serve as either artillery escorts or pillagers.

I like to wait to disband any ancient or middle age armies until I can use them for either a head start on a police station or a replacement army.

Ah, I think infantry on the field speaks to being out of the AA. I can't recall ever facing infantry while I was still in the AA, even in scores of Sid games I have played.

I happen to be playing down at Deity right now and I am dead even with all the remaining civs in the early IA, so when will you be seeing these infantry while still in the AA?

Of course you would not disband an army unitl you had the Pentagon build or at least 4 armies. Because if you had 3 and had started the Pentagon and did disband, you would be switched to some other structure. I know I have screwed up and done it.

So pardon me for presuming you had gotten past the point that you need it for requirement. If I was in that case I doubt I would be sending it out to attack anything.

I would need to have pinged it down and be sure no counterattck could take place as a 2 move army like that is very vulnerable.

vxma: You are correct, in the situation I'm in the IA, though trailing in tech, usually I'm researching Medicine->Electricity->Sci Method while the AI is in the process of gaining Flight & Mass Production. At least one of the AI usually researched RP and traded it around. I normally have to skip research Military Tradition to try to get ToE first and then get MT in trade for one of my bonus techs. That's the first time building an Army with our a MGL is possible. At that time I usually disband my Sword Army to help get an empty army to hopefully fill with tanks.

Usually when the sword army is attacking it's coming from the city it had been garrisoning. Also I'm usually in a desperate situation trying to hold off the AI until I can get peace.

Something broke with armies. I think it happened in C3C, when they added the new functions to them. The AI does not make them, but they did once in a while in vanilla.

Lucky fo rme as I don't know how I could beat them on Sid without the advantage of armies. I guess I would really have to make arties but the numbers.

Even that would probably not work for invasons as there is no way you could get enough ships to haul them all.

I had not played a deity game in a while and was surprised at how well I have managed to slow down their research. I will easliy get the ToE. I am so used to not even thinking about it as it is usually build before I get to the IA or at least soon after.

This is a contients game I expected them to research better as there are still all 3 civs on their land and one on an island very near them. I have cleared my contient, except for one town the Persians snatched from the Arbas, before I could eliminated them.

I am researching Espionage now, so I can gets spies up before I take them on.

Most of them. You aren't allowed to sell aqueducts or hospitals if your city is above the population threshold for that improvement (actually you might not be ever able to sell them, I've never tried). Also you can't sell a Wonder provided building (granary, barracks...) if you didn't originally build the improvement.

BTW: Why would you want to sell an improvement unless you got it free from a wonder?

It may be usefull sometimes, for example if enemy is going to take your city with walls, you can sell them to recapture it later (if that city is lightly defended)

You cannot sell aqua/hospitals ever. I wish you could sell hospitals as I do not want the pollution issues on those cpatured cities.
