Yeah 100 will do. I'll make it with all zeros in the end to make it simple to calculate how much percent of the gold was 'liberated' per city. :D

Ok, here it is. I gave each civ 10 towns, cities or metro's. I gave Egypt Towns, Greece Cities and Babylon Metro's.

First I razed Egypt's town, I got 5 gold (I gave all civs 100)

I Razed Greece's City, I got 7 gold. That's a 2 gold difference. Remember I did count through the towns,cities, metro's thoroughly and I gave all civs 10.

Next, Bab's Metro, 10 gold. 3 gold increase...

I didn't need to raze any more, as I already know that it will just add up to 100 gold anyway...

This was not a thorough test, but a basic understanding of how much gold you gain by conquering larger cities.

That's alright, It only took an hour. I had some problems at the start which needed to be fixed.

Yes, size matters. And if the AI had more than 100 gold in their treasury then that 10 gold you get from razing/capturing a metro will be increased.

Does anyone use helicopters? They were so awesome in civ2, though very unrealistic.

Speaking of aircraft, is there any way to relocate a stack? Like X and Ctrl+X but for planes.

Has anyone found a clear advantage for building bombers or tanks? Is combined arms better than either one on its own?

Yeah, I use them. Useful for getting defenders to a recently aquired city quick. Especially if it's on another continent. I also modded them to take tracked vehicles as well.

You can do this for planes as well.

Bombers are very powerful. Just as powerful as arty, and longer range to boot.

Tanks and Modern Armor are the best offensive units in the game. So yeah, they're good.

A common tactic is to use arty/bombers to redline the defensive units, and then mop up with whatever your best offensive unit is.

What are the volcanoes they were talking about in the other thread? Why don't I ever see any?

Ah. thanks

a) In Regent-Monarch, which scientific route does the AI research last?

b) If you have an archer in your town, who has his 1 movement point left, and a red-line horseman outside of town ON a road, and you kill the horseman with the archer, will the archer get 1 more movement point to flee back into the city because the Horseman was on a road?

A) Don't know

B) No, attacks take one whole movement point.

Edit: X post with ecuwins... and btw, sir, I'm certain you are mistaken

It's hard to tell what the AI is going to research. I've seen them take different paths in different games.

Something that has been bugging me for a while - in vanilla I'm sure that the rebase air mission shortcut was ^R, but it doesn't seem to work anymore for Conquests. Has the shortcut changed?

That's wierd, I've been trying shift R, R and ctrl R and it just doesn't seem to work. Is there any way that a scenario or mod can screw up the shortcuts.
