Just be patient! Your posts were all within one minute of each other!

You can just go into the editor and set the end date to a later date, and you actually can build the spaceship after 2050 in the regular game.

Does anyone know if there is a table or listing of some sort of what the AI is most likely to attack?

In particular, would they target a CV full of fighters over a CV full of bombers?

How do you set the helicopter to transport workers and tanks in the editor?

Any idea how to foresee the rapid mood changes of a neighboring civ?

I had a seemingly good relationship with my neighbor, the Blues. Regular trades, polite, sometimes gracious. Then, he attacks.

What sets these guys off?

You weren't the victim of a MPP or MA were you? Other than that, I agree that the AI's moods sometimes seem to be a roll of the dice.

No MPP or MA. The Blues were successfully fended off. Shortly after, the Blues and Pinks ganged up on the Greens. That occupied their time for a while. I've taken the tech lead and making money like mad. Everything is railroaded and units upgraded to infantry. I think the Blues will go after the Pinks or Purples next. Or, settle down and grow. Still, I'm building defense.

It does seem that moods are random at times.

If they suddeny have a better military, usually due to a new tech advance, they will want to use them. Pay attn to the timing and what the initial invasion force is. That may be a clue as to why they invaded.

My first post here, and I have a problem. What a great start ;) It is a great site, and already I've found heaps of useful info, so thanks! :)

When I load Civ III, (I've got Civ III Complete) my screen seems to shift to the left just a little bit, like there is a synch problem. My video card is a GeForce2MX/MX400, and I'm running in 1024x768 on Win2K. Is this a known issue? It isn't too bad, but when I try and view something right on the border of the map, well there is no hope.

My second question is, how can you tell what your reputation is. I've looked everywhere on the diplomacy screen, and the foreign advisor screen, but it seems to have disappeared from Civ 2.

I hope I posted this in the right place, my apologies if I didn't

Kinda not the right place, but somewhat appropriate, so no worries.

The shift is probably caused by a refresh rate change. All you need to do is find the refresh rate of your monitor (right click on the desktop, click "Properties", "Settings", "Advanced" and "Monitor"). Then open your .ini file in the directory of the game you're trying to play, (civ3.ini, PTW.ini, conquests.ini) and add the line Refresh=XX, where XX is the refresh rate you saw in the Monitor tab.

Re: Rep...basically, if you can't do a GPT deal, your rep is trashed.

i must have hit a key ?,,,I cant see animations anymore but it says i can in the preferences

If you are playing C3C, did you hit CAPS LOCK? That'll turn animations off.

Also, in any type of civ, holding SHIFT will speed up animations until you let go.

The white obelisk. I've never seen it before.
