Oh :(
So it is nothing within my control unless I go into the editor hmmm

Since I am playing a mod is this something that I should mention to the designer???

If that happens to be RaR, no need to post it. We are aware of that problems since the days of vanilla Civ3. There simply is nothing we could do about it; the link is autogenerated.
But as long as you do not check the pedia, it won't do any harm; and even when you get the message, you only have to keep closing the windows - but for Iron, that can be easily 40 of them .

I had a leader and many other elite units I kept the leader and went on my war an elite unit won and he asked me to rename it yet it's the completly the same as other elite units so can any one explain the benefits to me ?

That Elite unit will also have a * next to it. The difference between this * Elite unit and the others is that it cannot generate another leader. The only way it can is by upgrading it, in which case it will revert to Veteran status and lose the *.

Thanks Doc
Just one of those intermittent problems which we all have to deal with

BTW The mod is WH ... bloody addicitive :D

RaR questions should probably go in the RaR thread in Completed Modpacks forum, but to give you an answer, you need a Shipyard in the city the boat is in, I believe.

Yeah, Shipyards is it.

But another question: When dealing with the Black plauge, does one need to cut off (pillage) all roads to a city to isolate the epidemic or will surrounding the city w/ your own units suffice? Any other thoughts on dealing w/ the plauge?

You mean you downloaded the game and want a patch or the editor? Did you download the game legally or illegally? I'm not sure how to do it even if you did download it legally. Try contacting the site you got it from (if legally).

I think he means, once you've downloaded the patch or mod how do you install it.

Ok, I wasn't sure either. To run a patch, just double click it. To 'install' a mod, put it in your C:/Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Scenarios/ folder (add a /Civ3PTW/ if you have PTW before the /Scenarios/ or /Conquests/ if you have C3C).

Patches and mods are usually in Zip files, so you have to unzip them before you can install them.

I'm sure there's an easy answer for this, but I can't find the answer in the manual and I don't have the patience to read the whole board to figure it out.

I just upgraded vanilla CivIII and installed C3C last night. Everything was fine, and then I must have pushed a wrong key, because now all my "worker buttons", like "road", "mine", "go to" are on the right side of my screen, rather than at the bottom. I tried every key combination I could think of (sure scrambled my game, and good thing I had a recent save. :p )

How can I get the buttons back to the bottom of the screen?

It's as simple as hitting the Backspace key on your keyboard. :)

The "Delete" key by Backspace will make those buttons disappear, just so you know.
Thank you! Thank you!!!

Yeah, I "discovered" the delete key effect while I was pushing buttons. I must not have tried the backspace or did it twice AFTER hitting delete so I couldn't see the result. :crazyeye:

The Babylonians have captured a city from the Greeks, it is now size one and has no culture. If I capture it from the Babs, will it be autorazed?

My guess is Yes!....However, if the Greeks capture the city back before you take it, they will get their city back! :)

Is it possible to get the Republic Tech as the "Free" tech when you Pop Philosophy from a Goody Hut?

If so, how? :)
