JaggedRuler, do you have a prewin .sav you can post?

I'm stuck at work right now which is why i don't have more of the specifics. When I get home I'll check to see what the hall of fame says and if I have any recent saves. It may have been the victory points, how does that work? Also it was a normal size map so it wouldn't have been that.

Has anyone out there run into a bug that causes C3C to just shut down when changing a scientist by clicking on them? I have this happening to me quite a bit now and am just wondering if this is a known bug or if my CPU is just hiccuping... I'm running on a 1.6 GHz w 500MB RAM.... While watching the system resources b4 and after a "crash" the CPU is 100% used while only 3/4 of the system memory is used.

It used to happen to me only once in a gr8 while but now it is almost every turn.... the only thing different from previous games and now is difficulty and that the map size is huge instead of large.

thanks...

Yes, the EvanCiv Pophead Happiness Mod was developed for Vanilla/PTW. You need to download the C3C version of EvanCiv, which has actually been written by Puppeteer. It's not a Firaxis bug. ;)

See Post #11 from the "Happiness Mood Badges" thread in my signature for the Download File. :)

Thanyou! Thankyou! Thankyou! :thanx: :thanx: :thanx:

I will check this out right now and hopefully stave off my madness

Thanks again!

Sounds like Victory Points were turned on.
Doesn't Victory Points lead to Domination win? I seem to remember they led me to a domination loss on one occasion
A Wonder victory leads to a Histographic win, but it does not seem to be the case here (early modern age).

Thanks again! This solved my problem perfectly! I never even thought that my problem was because I had not cops/engineers... I forgot all about them with 3 wars going on.... Thanks again for saving what little hiar I haven't pulled out yet ;)

hi,

can you turn off the option to win or lose a city by cultural conversion ?
where you get a town because your culture is this high or the enemy culture is this high/

Welcome killas [party]
Yes when you start a game it's one of the options to turn off.

Killas: You can disable cultural conversion on the "Player Setup" screen where you choose your civ, in a box called Rules. I think it is the last option. Bottom right corner.

And welcome to CFC!

Oh - it is not there

Which version are you playing (by that I mean patch)? I am used to C3 Conquests now and there you can turn it off. I don't remember if you can do that in Vanilla...

says 1.29f in lower left corner, i hope i can turn it off. at emperor and diety i always lose cities because of it and its really anoyying.

Okay. 1.29f is the final for Vanilla. Sorry dude - it seems that you can't disable cultural conversions in Vanilla. But hey - I haven't played Vanilla for a long time now. Maybe there are other opinions here :scan:

One Solution: Play Conquests.........then you can "Turn it off"! ;)

Cultural Conversions can be disabled in PTW. Don't buy PTW though, get Conquest instead, PTW comes with it for free ;).
