Hello,
Old CivII player coming back to the series after I bought Civ5 Gold on Steam yesterday.
Upon firing up the game for the first time I am looking at this screen which only presents the DirectX9 version of the game as launchable, clicking 10/11 is greyed out and does nothing.
This is my graphics card, which fully supports DirectX11.
I'm wondering what I have to do to be able to play it using DirectX11? I am using Windows7 64-bit.
Thanks.
Edit:
I have checked this, and found that none of the civ .exe's are set in any kind of compatibility mode.
Edit #2: Wait a minute! STEAM.exe...
That did the trick. Sorry, I'm still having my coffee this morning. All is well now.

Q.) I am running Windows 7 and the button for DirectX 11 is messed up, i can't start with DirectX 11
A.) Please check, if the Steam.exe has not accidentally been installed in Vista compatibility mode (rightclick, properties, check for compatibility).
If is is, please deselect it.
If not, try additionally first activating it, then close the menu, and then deselect it again.
