Quick Query - PC & laptop installation

Hi, quick question for you clever ppl

I'm running civ5 on my PC, but i am about to purchase a laptop for the family

my question is, can i install civ5 on the laptop as well as running it on my PC?
(never used steam before, so not sure if it will restrict multi-use of the game)

You can .
Civ5 is bound to your steam account, you can install it as often as you want where you want, you just need your account data and an internet connection.
You just can't play it on both machines at the same time .
