Being away awhile, how's Multi-player in the game?
Meself and the wife used to like playing Civ4 over our network at home.
Can we do that with 2 copies of Civ5?
Is it just like the single player game, animations and such?

Two copies of civ 5 over LAN will work. Unfortunately at the moment there are NO animation for multiplayer however they are slated to come out in the next patch.


Other things you might want to know:

ai players in multiplayer do not contact you, you have to initiate all conversations

turns with other players are simultaneous meaning that you both have your turn at the same time.
