as for hector- Hector was one of the few the true heros of the Illiad- not achillies, or Paris- Hector was the very epitome of wha both greeks and Romans strove to be- men who wer eboth careing fathers, men of honour and dignity, stout fighters, champions of thier belifes, willing to sacrifice themselves for the good of thier people, city, or cause, amoung other things-as such, I would suppose that the current hector is abit to "wimpy" for thr role- remember, Achillies won his duel with hector because he was invulnerable, had help from the gods, and was possibly a metephor by Homer for how so often during war, all that is good is sacrificed or killed in the name of victory.
