If I click on Jungle it says "fresh water"!

Is this the same file as before? I'm almost positive that's what I'm using, but I'll try again....

edit : Are there any files you've fiddled with since Friday?
 
Looking at the Civ4ArtDefines_Terrain and then looking at the dds files they don't match-up. The PlainsBLEND does, but none of the other ones are the same. I'm assuming if I rename the dds files it will locate the correct art and all will be well in the world. ;)
 
matthew - It looks easy enough to fix, but I want to make sure I get it exactly as you had it. There are 9 entries in the XML file and 8 sets of dds files with 1 "noterrain".

Okay I give up trying to figure out why yours does not work and mine does I will send you a copy of my working mod to you by email and hopefully that one will work. after you tried it you can add the xmls that you changed.

I noticed something else that is odd

There are crateredblend, cratereddetail, and crateredgrid dds files, but only craterimblend and craterrimgrid dds files. Should there be a craterrimdetail file?
 
dont worry about that for now because none currently no art exists for those files.

What is the ArtDefines_Terrain file getting? It's going to the 10 meg files you sent, right? Don't the dds file names have to be the same? That's where I'm lost. It wouldn't surprise me if this mod worked different on different computers to be honest, but I'm trying to understand the code...
 
Look at the bottom of the xml file. the names for the art defines in the botton half of the xml should match the file names of the terrain I posted.

Well now I feel pretty damned dumb!

It doesn't explain why I see lakes, but I feel a little better. :)
 
woah everyone. hold everything. There are some files missing from the mod i posted that I have apparentally been using. I deleted by customassest folder and I get lakes everywhere. Now to find the file you guys are missing that I have.

Those damned Custom Assets! Whew, I'm glad dsquared and I aren't insane! :crazyeye:
 
If you give me some unit names and if they're foot, tracked, skimmer, or recon I'll XML them up and then we can give them stats and prereq techs.
