Rallying call for all interested: Colonisation of the Moon mod!

The most advanced graphics editing program I possess is Microsoft Word. I wouldn't even know where to begin, I'm afraid.

I would not worry about graphics editing if I were you. We have some pretty decent graphics modders on this mod to take care of graphics :D

I downloaded all the XMLs as I got them! Don't blame me, sarge.

I just vented my spleen over on the Expansion Civilisations thread so it's possible I missed something. Anyway, I changed the Isolationism and Xenophobia prerequisites to something else in the meantime (can't remember what), but they can easily be changed back again. I can PM/email you the latest XML version if you like. I loaded up C.IV earlier and the changes I made work a treat! :bounce:

I put your civics XML file into the mod and it worked beautifully. The techs all look like they mean something!

I had to get rid of MELEE and GUN from the aggresive trait. No biggie.

The buildinginfos file had some scary problems with commerce modifiers, but I nailed those too. :)

Now I hope to add some units before I send matthewv the "file".....:crazyeye:
 
I fixed both of those in my files! Didn't I post them?
The Melee and Gun problems are fixed by just changing them to FOOT and TRACKED, and the buildinginfos problems are easily fixed by making sure the entries actually have a properly-syntaxed open and close tag. But as I said I can e-mail you the intended-effects version (clean of errors) upon request.

I think if you want to work on the Leader's history/backstory/civilopedia that would be awesome. Or think about the Wonders GeoModder suggested and add those or give me the ok to add them eventually. I'd like to get one more era of units done and then we could say Alpha. Right now it's definitely playable, but unbalanced.

And we have to get better civic buttons.
 
I've already done Al-Rahan and Anderson. Some of them are going to be harder than others, though. Some might start off with rather less of a biography than others. I'm looking forward to getting to the Ss, though. Doing Susan B. Edwards is going to be fun! (whoever reads this, please take the above statement in context!)
 
Wonder update proposal:

The Ice Mission: +health, but also +commerce (ice sales to other civs)

New proposal:

LPS (Lunar Positioning Satellites): +health perhaps for the life-saving feature of knowing where you are when in trouble (for all civs with which an open border agreement exists with the civ owning the wonder), and a defense bonus for your bases (the one initially launching those sats have the master codes, and they can be used to track down "unwanted" movements)

@woodelf: yes, they're all fine. However, the update I did which corrected dispaly problems for Orbital Limited and the Lunar Federation no longer seems to be part of the latest update, so those two civs might have display problems.

If your flags are saturated, go into the flags XML and set all the booleans to 1.
 
I put in Foot, Heavy, and Tracked through the 2nd era. Still no siege or air units, but they come eventually. :)

I'm going to test it out and then send it to matthewv.
 
We have Oxygen and Hydrogen as resources, but do any of the improvements that we have make sense for actually collecting these? Maybe we need some sort of Purifier Plant improvement or something close to that?
 
We should also be thinking about uses for all of these resources, whether it be 1/2 price units, lower cost buildings, or simply needed to build either of those.
 
Well, we took some creative liberty here, technically all those elements are locked up some silicate form, most in-situ resource utilization plans call for some type of solar oven to heat the rock to break those chemical bonds and release and separate the oxygen and hydrogen gases, with hydrogen and oxygen you have rocket fuel and oxidizer, air to breathe and can make water to cool equipment and drink and water your hydroponic farms. maybe a solar extractor type improvement.

Can you make a Solar Extractor improvement? That would work well on some of the resources.
