Rallying call for all interested: Colonisation of the Moon mod!

Thanks Belizan.

edit - Still haven't been able to get the file since Filegone keeps saying check back in 5-10 minutes. :(

edit 2 - Finally got it. 348 bytes? Is that for real?

I'm putting this here so it doesn't get forgotten.

The mushroom farm gives +25% food, I want it to give just +2 food, but I can't find the right spot. I can give gold, research, and culture, but so far I'm missing the food, hammers, commerce.....I know I've seen it....:crazyeye:

More observations from the 1st era:

I need to find some improvement buttons.
The promotions are screwy because I did "or" instead of "and" so you can get level II before I in some cases. :(
There are some civics TXT_KEY issues.
I received no xp from attacking and killing a barb lunar marine.
Radio car, is it worthless? Maybe we could have this unit be consumed to make radar towers?
Lunar scout should upgrade to Lunar rover.
Rocket trooper and laser infantry are basically the same, one needs to be moved elsewhere.
Air Purification tech needs to accomplish something, whether it be happiness, a building, something.

Todays bag of Wonder(s) proposals:

- Virtual Personality: Gives a free specialist for every existing specialist that doesn't use hammers (can't see VP's doing physical work ;) )
- Combat Coordination Center: +10% strength to all units when attacking.
- Combat Intelligence Center: +10% defense strength when defending.
- Local Prospector (not completely happy with the name): gives a free colony barricades, or colony walls (take your pick of defense increasing structure) on every new base that is founded after the wonder is finished. It simulates a throughout investigation in advance of a new basespot in order to incorporate defenses from the start (using existing terrain and stuff). Guess it's best as an early wonder.

And the good news is: buttons show ingame now on my comp. Begone with the pink! :D

Man, I love combat in this game. Once you hit 2nd era the fireworks start flying! The rock/paper/scissors is working to perfection IMO. Too bad I'm too busy playing to add in Siege units. :p

Thanks Geo. Keep em coming! I keep meaning to start adding some....

Yes it is. It's definitely better since you cleaned it up. Thanks :goodjob:

Thanks Robby. If you can add any 1st era observations to mine it would be helpful.

It's weird, the civflags stay white (altho civcolors can be seen on their units), but the "barbs" show this red diagonal cross over a white flag.

I think your graphics card may be the trouble with your white flags. I like the barbs and their ruthlessness! Not idea how their flag got to be that color/design though unless JBG did it.

When I changed the text to show up as "Life on the Moon, yr 1" I must have screwed up something with the save game data. Now there are wierd TXT_KEY_SAVE messages in the save and the autosave isn't working too well. Anyone know how to fix it or do we go back to the 4000BC default?

Not of hand but I can look into it.

I might have figured it out, I'll know on the next reload! :)

edit: I made the upper right corner part with the date look better, but the save files default to

Administrator TXT_KEY_TIME_AD_SAVE. Damn odd.... Maybe in the Global Defines as well as Text?

edit2 - Kael helped me find the error of my ways!

Can you send me any files edit asap after you edit them. That way I can ensure I'm not editing files that you are also currently editing. Only send me the files and not the whole xml folder when you do.

Sheesh, and your the XML guy...

<YieldChanges>
<iYield>0</iYield>
<iYield>2</iYield>
<iYield>0</iYield>
</YieldChanges>

Except for food, you'll want to use the first iYield... that's from the City Bunkers.
