RaNDom-0?

I would agree that settling the isthmus is important just to keep our empire connected.
The landgrab is over and really no good places left to settle.

I agree that we should take out the barb city just for the gold.
And for the experience for our troops.
No need to keep the city as it is no good.

Do we want to make a one turn detour to tech Mono so we can revolt to OR during our infra buildup?

I assume that most of our cities would benefit from this.

Been a while since I have done one of these...probably not since my first SG.
But I'm just gonna run through all the cities and say what I think they should do.

Randomania can stop working the two water tiles and turn them into scientists.
We still would have 5 surplus food and then we would get a GSci in 5 turns.
Edu bulb???
Then I would build a mint here as we are weak on hammers here.

Heliohille looks good on tiles and will grow into another mine in 5 turns.
Definitely build a courthouse after the mint as it will save us 4 gpt.

In Choas, I would whip the Tao monastery into a Confusion monastery.
Then after that whip the Confusion Monastery into a courthouse.
Choas seems to be best suited to staying at size 8 or 9.

Stochasity should trade the water tile for a scientist...or the plains cottage.
I prefer the scientist.
I would start a courthouse here after the market finishes too.

MMMM...toast should switch out of the lighthouse immediately.
I think we could use a mint here as it would gain 3 hammers from it.

Camelot could probably start a barracks next as I envision this city as a hammer city.
Although I wouldn't scoff at a library for the culture.

New Caprica should whip that theatre as soon as possble and I would start a courthouse after that. We need to get some workers over here to help out.

Hope this was helpful.
I realize you don't need the help Sweet but it never hurts.

After running through these builds I would definitely tech Mono and revolt to OR to speed things up!

No, all help is appreciated. :) Especially so because I didn't realise I was up!

Can't be done today, because I will be debaucherous and watching the Bledisloe Cup soon enough. Tomorrow might work, tho.

Well, we are clearly in no hurry. :D I was thinking I ought to have settled that isthmus myself, but I wasn't sure if I should, though I guess I lost my chance to name a city! Oh well.

Thanks for the micromanagement, sturick! Even though I'm not up, it's good to see what I could pay attention for.

Hey guys, thanks for playing slow so that I wouldn't miss too much ;). If all goes well, I should be able to play my set on time if we still follow the roster on the first page.

Good to hear from you Sengir.
Very methodical game so you should be just fine! :D

Sorry, chaps, RL has been hell. I will be able to play tonight.

So I've spent some time werestling with BUG, and it's just being temeramental. For one, I'm getting no log output, and 2, when an AI makes a demand, I can't select an option. So, it'll be another disjoint report with limited numbers, I'm afraid.

Scientists were hired in the capital, and 5 turns later, the GS was bulbed on about half of education. The rest of the set was finishing edu, with a turn for mono (for OR), and a turn for music (to cheapen the trade). Paper was starting to get around, so I traded it for music with Ragnar, and for theo with Pericles.

A couple of turns in, after the mace joined the party, we won a flawless victory against the barbs right under Linc's nose. It's funny how he has time for barb expansion while at war with Sury... anyway, the city was razed, and later Linc settled the site.

Lincoln and Sury continued their war for 15 turns or so, until an AP resolution stopped it. I didn't want to jeopardise relations, so closed borders with Linc, but was too greedy to cut the 6gpt we were receving, so got a -1 against Sury anyway. Ragnar demanded edu, and there was no way I was giving in considering we're 20ish turns from lib.

We're still struggling on at 40-50%, and the good news is that we have a good number of mints and confucian buildings in place to aid :hammers:. Next up has to be courthouses (which I estimate will save us 20gpt) and enough unis for Oxford. I was trying to manufacture a GP for a shrine in Helio, but the jewish miss. failed, and so it's still going to be 60ish turns. Feel free to chase it or not. The only out of the ordinary build is Hagia Sofia, just because we have marble, and also we still have few workers (we need about 5 more!) We're also still quite weak, so a lb in every city would be a good idea. So many things to build, so few :hammers:. What a tough map. Everyone is pretty happy with us except for Linc, so diplo may be a possibility if we don't want to go on the offensive.

Sounds good. I know the feeling about needing everything now, heh. A diplomatic win wouldn't be bad. We'd probably have to build the U.N., or try to grow our cities and get enough population for the A.P., but that seems unlikely. I haven't been really sure how to gear the empire because the terrain is so random, but we should probably work on our military to keep hungry eyes away and disband any obsolete units.

Good turns Sweetachson!

Hopefully the AI is struggling just as much as us with this lousy terrain.

Just an FYI that I will be leaving tomorrow on vacation returning on the 6th.
