Hey guys, I've emailed 2kgames already with my problem to see what they might have to add to my dilemma.
Now what happens is after about 5-10 minutes of playing my game will randomly CTD (Crash to Desktop) with no error messages showing. I checked Event Viewer and this is what logs show for the time of the crash:
"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 7."
"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 6."
Both of those logs show up for every CTD. I've had this problem with another game (Counter Strike Source to be exact) whenever it CTD's, so I'm assuming it could possibly be some kind of Software Conflict.
I only run Zonelabs Firewall, AVG Antivirus, (sometimes) Steam, in my system tray.
If anybody else has been getting random CTD's check your event viewer and we'll compare notes.
Peace
