Alternative PCX in post 9.

Thank you stico, for accomplishing so much excellent work in such a short time frame. And thank you Ares for getting the sounds done so quickly as well.

Now on to the quest for someone to make Takhisis' model into a unit - then there'll be an upgrade line. :coffee:

It has just been made into a unit.

Blue Monkey... I checked your units_32 image and corrected it. There were many Brown CIV Specific Colors in the wrong places. I changed the CIV Specific Color #8 to #7 as that is the Main CIV Color used on the Unit and I added the units_32 Frame around the image so it can be copied and pasted the same.

Not sure if you still want it but it is in the zip file.

The image is to show you where the CIV Specific Colors were on your image.
The Green areas were CIV Colors.

Not only will this be the longest unit in the making, but also one of those with the longest credits list.

It has just been made into a unit.
The four-wheeled heavy ratha! Where's it posted?

Thanks, Vuldacon. My first time making a units_32. The originals had a lot of red, and blue for the civ color. Maybe you can take a look at the later versions posted here. Those have the frame to make CnP easier. Since I'm not sure what colors to look for yet, I probably missed a lot of civ-color in the wrong spots.

And who else should be in credits? Do not hesitate to tell because I might forgot about somebody. I thought about you but at the end I didn't use any of your models but I made everything from scratch looking at the image.
Ares for sound. Looks like now maybe Vuldacon for palette help. If you wanted to add a note of thanks for those who helped develop the design over the last 5 years then Quinzy, Micaelus & Takhisis all deserve mention. Not having those other two model wips available is a great loss imho.

:eek2: Really. It looks an awful lot like mine. Very much so.

I meant the two-wheeled one, as posted above.

Takhisis did create a two-wheeled model, which is post #479 of this lengthy thread. It is naturally similar to stico's model, as it's depicting the same unit and Takhisis deserved the mention in the credits for stico's model.

Ultimately, we now have our Vedic chariot so thanks to stico and to everyone who helped in this thread.

Blue Monkey... Yes, there are several CIV Specific Colors in the wrong places on the units_32 files.

Rather than go through everything here... get my Tutorial and the useful Palettes that will make it easier.

This is post 479:

Early render preview.

Ratha7_15_12.jpg

A preview, but no model. Four wheeled, not two.

After Takhisis sent the obj file to various people, stico felt he wanted to do something different, iirc. And the unit as previewed looks different to my eyes:

The Ratha in game looks magnificent. Thank you very much to everybody who was involved in creating this unit, :thanx:

If Takhisis made the model used by stico, or any parts of it were used, he definitely deserves credit. I'm sure stico will give credit where credit is due. Let's all stay calm & make sure we've got our facts straight.
