As if we didn't have enough earth maps right?

Alright, my version is design with these goals and opinions in mind:

- 100x100 standard sized map with 8 Civs provides the best gameplay experience.
- Resource, Barbarians, Civs, Terrain, etc. should be located in as close to the histrorical location as possible/reasonable.
- Areas that have not been significant to the 31 Civ 3 nations should be shrunken, conversely, areas that are extremely important should be enlarged.
- I accordance with the above, Europe especially should be Mega-Sized.
- Shrink the oceans as small as you can, expand the continents.
- Give all the civilizations fairly equal starting positions.
- Warp distort and bend the shape of the earth to fit the above goals with glee. (Notice how the korean peninsula points east now. North? South? East? West? They all change as you move about the map, it's like Escher art)
- Profit.

OK, so I failed miserably in much of what I set out to do, but who knows, I may edit in the future. Hopefully this is fun for someone. Lemme know your thoughts if'n you're up to it.

This definitely is a twist on all the other world maps out there. I will have to give it a try.

I am a HUGE fan of this map...

...so much so that I have spent the last year modifying and playtesting it extensively.

I am going to start a new thread with my creation and reference this thread as the origin/inspiration.

Wow. My new favorite map. I have been playing just now as Rome and I got what is probably the best starting spot in what would probably be Germany, and I think there should be another starting spot for AI in what is now Spain.

Playing as Rome I now control Germany, the bottom of the boot of Italy, Denmark, all of Scandinavia (Finaldn, Sweden, etc).

I control Northern France and am not settling England.

The Celtics were where Turkey now hits Europe where Constantinople is and they were settling up in my areas and I crushed them with Legionaries.

The Dutch started where Rome is and I took them out because they were trying to settle my land. I just htink another guy down in Spain would have made it harder to grab great land.

GREAT MAP though. It's a world map that doens't lag my computer. I love it man, thanks for your hard work.
