Rbw2 - Angry Korea Man

Maybe Swiss Pauli can take the game, and Blake can stew in his anger about it ;)

I'll pick this up tonight or tomorrow, unless we get some antipodean anger from blake in the meantime.

New Zealand is also antipodean...

...SHUT UP I PLAYED SOME TURNS BUT KOREA IS TOO ANGRY TO REPORT RIGHT NOW!

Guys, I have to apologize here. I've been in Las Vegas for the past 5 days. I had made arrangements to be able to play Civ on a friend's Notebook while there, but my hotel internet access plans fell through. I'm still away from home but should be at least able to comment on threads until I'm back Tuesday night. I'll be able to resume playing then. Again, I apologize for the lack of notice.

A look at our ANGRY PLANET OF CIVS:

Well unhappiness is getting a bit out of hand at the moment, though capturing Djenne has given a shot in the arm (25gpt) to our economy. Some units are healing up for a turn at Djenne (thanks to the PALADIN) and some more are already heading up to Mansa's capital (Kumbi Saleh).

Managed to lose an Ironclad and a caravel trying to clean out Mao's Frigate at Illinois. FDR is weak and gassed. There are three Cannon who should head to San Fran, which we'd want to keep. Washington is a pretty poor capital, having only an Academy to distinguish it from a run of the mill city. I put up some ANGRY signs in America...

I whipped quite a lot of cities down to size where they're not on the happy cap. Seoul has one angry citizen, who'll go back to work next turn after whip anger fades; Illinois needs its Stupa and has been set for max specialists to avoid growth.

Some govs has been set to emphasis, depending on their situation (the default gov - unsurpringly - doesn't handle the Globe whipping post concept well, for example).

We're at a bit of a crossroads as to where to go with the game: conquering our island won't be enough for Dom (fun though it would be to double cross Khan, and kick Mao into the sea), so we need to decide whether to settle for a Space or Culture win, or keep on fighting, and think about a late swing at a win.

If we keep on fighting, then tech should surely be Assembly Line then Fascism to get a lid on the war weariness.

A large map in Modern war will be a slug fest, each turn set will take HOURS to do properly. That said, I do want to kill Hannibal. I don't like that guy-he has to go. Mansa if finished too (just not officially yet). FDR is done-there is no fight left in him. I really don't want to :backstab: the Khan-he is just so Angry that you have to like him. I guess what I would like is to finish FDR and Mansa, while fighting a holding campaign againist Mao-then when FDR and Mansa are officially done, turn our attention on Hannibal. BTW lets get the Khan in the fight with Mao if at all possible. This is just tying up loose ends. Finishing Mao or not really makes no difference to me, but I don't see there ever being peace with him

Hannibal is Khan's bitc...sorry, Vassal, and we're both all war with Mao, and his fan-boy Mansa.

The map's regular size, just crowded.

Ugh, I forgot about that-this game has been progressing soooo slowly. Vassal- I HATE them!!!!!

Are you sure? I pretty sure, just by looking at the mini-map that this is not Standard

1 Blake - SKIPPED
2 Swiss Pauli - Delivered some Pain!
3 sunrise089 - Taking an Angry Vacation!
4 Kodii - Busy with ANGER
5 Atlas - UP FOR COMBAT?
6 Iainuki - Meditating on Anger

@Atlas - I got my info from the signup thread not the game; my bad. And Large means my PC will start dying on its arse in the modern era.

@Blake - we know you're out there: why no posts or play?

lurker's comment: I love the picture of the AI relationships and all the red lines. If you look closely, you can see a very nasty grin on Mr Angry Korean man's face ... he is sitting there thinking "beautiful ... look at all the anger I have exported!!!"

Swiss Pauli-just Played
Iainuki-played before him
Atlas-played before Iainuki

So Kodii is up?

I guess I wasn't clear, but I was extremely busy. Things have eased off a bit so there is a chance that I can finish tomorrow. Of course with the large map, my computer takes ages to complete the turnset too, but I can deal.
