for this reason, would onlive have been a better choice for ciV?

since i was given securom over a key (hurray draconian drm!), i couldn't connect civ4 to my steam account, so i am wondering how/if other members who did buy it through steam tried this? i've never attempted to play anything through steam over rdp; i would imagine it would certainly be possible, but i'm no rocket surgeon.

so if anyone could chime in, that would be fantastic.

RDP? The windows remote desktop service/client?

Don't believe that RDP works with 3d video (the game is 3d). You can try setting the game to run in a window, but i doubt the game will display or run.

Much better to install or download the game on each machine you want to run it on.
