Re-build the post-count to 1 million!!!

I just thought it would be funny to point out the shrinkage of the Civfanatic post count and see if anyone has an idea how we lost so many posts in such a short time?


How did we cross the 1 million mark only to fall back to the total (at the time of my posting) of 987,204 posts?


Did bannings cost us THAT many post??? Wow!

Look at the post ID for your post. It's well over one million.

Deleting that thread with the 12000+ posts must have made some difference though.

CFC did not lose a lot of posts all of a sudden. The one millionth post was considered the one millionth becuase of its PostID. To see a post's ID, one of the ways is to hold the cursor over the post's quote button. In your browser's status bar, it should say the PostID at the very end of the URL.

Edit: And as you may have guessed, the ID is the "true" post number. The front page only counts posts that haven't been deleted and are in "visible" forums (not staff forums).

Except if I spammed like hell now, one day my posts from the spam from hell era would eventually be deleted. So when this happens I would have to spam like hell, times infinity

I know my postcount goes up and down since I'm not such a newbie here. But I have stoped careing....

Once I were number 3 in the top posters list... then I used to think of it.. but not any more.

Who gives a crap about PC? Maybe if you have under 300 or whatever the limit is you might. PC has been discussed and it is not a status symbol of anything. Spam is spam. Word association was at least funny sometimes. Some of the political threads aren't funny. Just spammy. Opinions I guess will differ.
