Chieftain
Hello all, this is my first upload to the site, so comments would be helpful and questions are welcome. 'Tis a map of the entire real world, using the Large World map that comes with the game. For now I had to leave out central Africa, Australia (debating whether to give that to England or make a new civ, which I would need help on anyway...) and Greenland, basically Denmark. I kept all the modern day civs:
America, name changed to United States
France
England, name changed to UK
Germany
Spain
Egypt
Zululand, name changed to South Africa
Russia
China
Japan
India
Aztecs, name changed to Mexico
Iroquois, name changed to Canada
Scandinavia (encompassing the three Scandinavian countries in the real world)
Arabia, name changed to Middle East
Korea
Inca, name changed to S. South America (Argentina, Chile, most of Brazil in the real world)
Maya, name changed to N. South America (Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia in the real world)
All the others were taken out. I wanted to keep Rome as Italy but the map was too small. Korea stretches down through Thailand and Indonesia. The map is pretty accurate but obviously not spot on. Due to the size of the map, some civs like UK and Germany are only one city. All ancient-industrial age units are disabled, and only modern units are allowed. Settlers are also disabled. Every city starts with two workers and one modern armor unit, and so all countries start in the modern age. The aggression levels are as close as possible in my mind, again any help there is appreciated. I did research on all the countries' governments for the leader names and prefered/disliked governments, and some civ attributes were altered. All civs with ancient-industrial UUs have no UUs, and Canada can build Mounted Infantry which is just Cavalry with a bit more offensive power. Only France, USA, China, Russia and UK (security council countries) can build ICBMs (tactical nukes are disabled). That's basically the jist of it, so download the file and try it out.
