Hello all, this is my first upload to the site, so comments would be helpful and questions are welcome. 'Tis a map of the entire real world, using the Large World map that comes with the game. For now I had to leave out central Africa, Australia (debating whether to give that to England or make a new civ, which I would need help on anyway...) and Greenland, basically Denmark. I kept all the modern day civs:

America, name changed to United States
France
England, name changed to UK
Germany
Spain
Egypt
Zululand, name changed to South Africa
Russia
China
Japan
India
Aztecs, name changed to Mexico
Iroquois, name changed to Canada
Scandinavia (encompassing the three Scandinavian countries in the real world)
Arabia, name changed to Middle East
Korea
Inca, name changed to S. South America (Argentina, Chile, most of Brazil in the real world)
Maya, name changed to N. South America (Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia in the real world)

All the others were taken out. I wanted to keep Rome as Italy but the map was too small. Korea stretches down through Thailand and Indonesia. The map is pretty accurate but obviously not spot on. Due to the size of the map, some civs like UK and Germany are only one city. All ancient-industrial age units are disabled, and only modern units are allowed. Settlers are also disabled. Every city starts with two workers and one modern armor unit, and so all countries start in the modern age. The aggression levels are as close as possible in my mind, again any help there is appreciated. I did research on all the countries' governments for the leader names and prefered/disliked governments, and some civ attributes were altered. All civs with ancient-industrial UUs have no UUs, and Canada can build Mounted Infantry which is just Cavalry with a bit more offensive power. Only France, USA, China, Russia and UK (security council countries) can build ICBMs (tactical nukes are disabled). That's basically the jist of it, so download the file and try it out.

For the leaderheads, you can find my tutorial in the tutorial section in this area. :)

Thanks for that. I'm not a hardcore modder or anything... So pumping out LHs isn't my forte, for now I could download them I guess. Right now I'm searching for a bigger world map, and I'll probably split France in two and make a new mod, either Romania or Hungary (leading towards Romania) to make a simple WWII scenario. Speaking of which, I made an Iraq Invasion scenario using the original. It's a little unrealistic, just because when (if you're playing USA) you attack Middle East the entire world gets dragged into World War. Canada, UK and USA are in a locked alliance against Middle East, so ME starts out with alot of Guerillas. But yeah. If anyone knows of a bigger than Large map of the real world, and/or a Romanian civ, do tell.

Look in the World Map database in this very section.

Virote Considon: Do you mean the first upload? Because I can see that one but not the second upload.

d.highland: Oh how convenient :P

Also, does anyone know how to disable Mutual protection pacts and war with... alliances in scenarios?

EDIT: Added the new addon scenario to the original. It's beta, but it doesn't crash your computer or anything.

Also, I checked in this section for real world maps. I found an awesome 350x325 one, but it's so massive that it would probably crash everyone's, including my, computer... I found a couple of 225x225 ones which would be optimal, but they are resource filled or inacurate. I'll keep looking.

It's easy to delete the resources. All you have to do is delete them in the editor, then re-import them from another default-resource scenario.

Go to 'Rules' in the editor, click the 'civilization advances' tab and there are a list of check boxes. If you make sure that none of the techs in the game have the 'allows military alliances' or 'allows mutual protection pacts' flags then that's it.

:D Do it, we're at least 3 Romanians in the Creation & Customization community! I'm starting to transform into Partizanac II.... :mischief:

BTW, I can help with the Romanian civ. :) There is a very good LH and a while ago I started making a city set (but never finished it)

[/Partizanac] ;)

Virote Considon: Oh thanks, I'll try that out and if it works, I'll recreate the scenario with more land and more cities!

Keroro: Thanks for that, Writing and Nationalism's alliance-linked capabilities were deleted, but since they also enable other things, I didn't get rid of any techs. (I only took out the alliance pacts in the Iraq Invasion scenario, and I will do the same in the upcoming WWII scenario I will make once I create Romania...

Mirc: Speaking of which. That's cool, could you link me to the LH? A city set would be cool, but it's not totally needed for now, because then I'd have to make city sets for every civ, which, come to think of it wouldn't be a bad idea... Still. The WWII scenario will be awesome!

Locked Alliances
Germany
Romania
Possibly France (They were conquered in a couple of weeks, but the scenario starts at the beginning, not halfway through... :/)

vs.

UK (Will change name to Britain)
USA
Canada
Russia (Possibly? They didn't attack much but they basically finished the NAZIs... A bit one-sided though)

Let's hear your input.

The alliances should be, IMO:
AXIS:
Germany
Italy
(Japan, if map goes that far)
I don't know enough about Romania's involvement, you'd have to ask one of them.

ALLIES:
Britain
USA
Commonwealth (i.e. Canada, (Australlia- see Japan), etc.)
France

SOVIET UNION:
USSR

EASTERN EUROPE: (Maybe, if you can fit them.)
Poland
*Other Eastern European nations who would be at war with Germany and Russia*

Then the AXIS would be at war with the Allies and Eastern Europe, and Eastern Europe will be at war with the Soviets and Germany (although not for long ;))

Unfortunately, you can only have 5 different city sets in the game, so you won't be able to make them different for each civ unless you make the whole scenario single era, in which case you can have 20 by using a very intelligent yet hard to implement trick.

ShiroKobbure made a very nice 4-era Vlad Tepes LH. Vlad Tepes was not exactly alive in the time of WW2 but the Industrial and Modern aren't meant to look like Medieval Vlad, they hardly resemble his face. :)

Thanks for the link, I added a Romanian civilization with that thread. No worries about the Medeival, since the scenario takes place in the modern era anyway. I'm working on the bigger map which I managed so far to fit all the other civs as well as Greece, Italy and Romania on. Plus many of the islands scattered all over the world will belong to civs to make it more realistic (ex. Faroe Islands to Scandinavia, etc.)

I'm not finished the bigger map, but I want to start the WWII scenario to test it out, and I just wanted to run some things by people to see if I'm getting it right in terms of civ government prefs and aggresiveness, and sides.

This is what I put in for now:

ALLIED
Canada (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 3)
USA (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 4)
Britain (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 4)
France (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 3)
Spain (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)
India (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)
Egypt (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)
Greece (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 1)
Mexico (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)
Scandinavia (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)
Turkey (Pref Democracy, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)

COMMUNIST
Russia (Pref Communism, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 3)
Romania (Pref Communism, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)
Middle East (Pref Communism, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)
China (Pref Communism, Shun Fascism - Aggresiveness 2)

NAZI
Germany (Pref Fascism, Shun Democracy - Aggresiveness 5)
Italy (Pref Fascism, Shun Democracy - Aggresiveness 4)

ON THE FENCE (Undecided or unknown)
South Africa
N. South America
S. South America
Korea

Very one-sided against the Nazis, which is my concern. Also Hitler and Mussolini hated democracy and communism, but I can only make them hate one government type. Giving Italy and Germany a starting troop bonus is the obvious reaction to balance it, but what else could be done?

Also, could someone just brief me on who the leaders of the countries were at the time of the WWII? (Oh God... I'm gonna need like a hundred leader heads...) And what the Fascist leaders were refered to as (Leader title)?
Thanks ALOT in advance.

...Sorry guys, a couple more things...

Should Spain and Northwest Africa be linked (Like the Gibraltar bridge?) Either it is and Spain and Egypt are commercially linked but isolates the Mediteranean to Atlantic ship traffic, or it is left out and ships can navigate in and out but Spain is isolated except by France.

Could I suggest a couple of changes?

-India and Egypt given to Britain
-Korea given to Japan
-Japan pref. "Monarchy", hate "Democracy"
-Germany pref. "Fascism", hate "Communism"
-Same with Italy (I'm assuming that the Allies will startat war with the Axis, anyway)
-China should move to the Allies (to be at war with Japan by turn 1)
-I don't think Greece should be a "Democracy", as this was its "Fascism" days. However, I think a "Pref. Fascism, Shun Fascism" thing may seem a bit too stupid, so ho about their pref. is Monarchy?
