Really large world map

Few people have already ask this in other forums but they didn't get an answer.This is an quote of Vietcong's post:

"can any one post me a world map, tha is very very big??
i whold like to have a map thats so big i can fit more then 3-4 citys in germany.... atleast 5-6 i whold like to see.... plus i got this other world map. very big its about 362 in size acros and high(i think) its by el some one.... but for some rison it lags at the end of my turns and when i move the pointer onto an enamy unit(when moveing one of my units to atack) it lags realy bad... but not during a atack.. allso if im moveing a unit on a coast into a ship, when i put the arow into the water it lags.. is it becuss its so big? or becuss i have all 24 civs? or is it a combo of both of them..?"

It's Kal-El who's map he's talking about.I have dowloaded it but I wonder is there larger world map out there?

its not Kal-els map, its El Menceys Maxi map he is talking about. Kal-el has made two maps 140-140 and 180-180. El Mencey has made the biggest possible map 356-356, it is so big that most computers crash before reaching the late ages.

Do you know how much memory/processor speed that huge world map approximately needs?

Isn't there any map between 180x180 and 360x360 created?

If you look in the User Created Maps forum you will find lots of maps, including many world maps. There is, just from glancing a 256x256 world map also. You can look back through this forum until you find a map of the size you are looking for. I am afraid I don't have much idea how fast a computer you would require to run such big maps, but even if you have an ultra-fast computer I would expect you to have wait several minutes between turns in the late-game on such big maps.
