Recieved Defeat message after conquering last Roman city

I was playing as America in a 'Quick Game' , turn 313, and after defeating the last roman city there was a cutscene and everything, the whole deal, and it said I was defeated. It was the American defeat scene as I saw Teddy Roosevelt at the end. Kind of annoying. Game version is 1.0.0.26

Can you post a save file (perhaps an autosave) from the turn before the defeat screen popped up?

I had this same thing happen. Sumeria taking over Japan. No leader at the end.
