Well, have you tried any of the old games by LucasArts? (Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, etc.)

I could recommend I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, although its relatively easy and is pretty dark.

I have played Day of the tentacle. Lucasarts games seem to be mostly humorous, and i do not really like that. I prefer a more serious game

I think the most serious of the LucasArts games is The Dig.

Well he wanted "gloomy", and I guarantee he'll be gloomy after playing it. I've read an AAR and seen some gameplay videos. Trust me, it doesn't get much gloomier than Limbo of the Lost.

Seems interesting Although i dislike futuristic environments. But i will probably give it a try, or at least learn more about it from youtube videos.

Not really because you only seem interested in a very limited selection of titles, I suggest taking a look at Good Old Games or wikipedia.
