Recommended settings for GEM?

I seem to recall a post or a wiki page recommending certain settings for optimal GEM play ( speed, adv. settings, etc. )

Does anyone know where that went? I'd like to play it the way it's designed, after all

AFAIK Thal himself prefers standard map size and speed. He also changed the advanced settings to already represent his preferences (e.g. policy saving is activated by default).

So no big changes necessary!

From my experience, large/epic is the second best tested and balanced combination. Also, he's a fan of conquest gameplay, so this might be slightly better balanced than peaceful builder games.
