this is a reworking of one of my earliest units. It is intended as an advanced submarine design for WWII, such as the german type XXI or XXIII electroboat submarines.

It can stay under water much longer than a less advanced design, literaly for weeks, and has a much deeper diving range.
It has several torpedo tubes, and hydraulic reloading tubes mean that all tubes can be reloaded in the same time it takes to reload a single tube on the older models.

I have produced two models, one for use on green tinted water terrain, such as the original civ III terrain and one for use with blue water such as that in snoopy's terrain mod. As most people use snoopy's terrain I've placed all the civlopedia pictures, sounds and ini files in the blue water zip. If you want the green water version just drop the flicks into the blue water download and they will over right the blue water flics as they share the same names.

there are also two civlopedia pictures so you can include two units in your mods with the same flics but different civlopedia pics (if you wanted the type 21 and the type 23 subs for example).

Wyrmshadow has done a nice type 7 somewhere, prolly on the other website... This one is based on a cross 'tween the type 21 nad type 23 advanced german u-boats, though you can use it for whatevery you like. I think it looks quite like a few of the post war developments from various countries. I like to make my units fairly generic, so people can get the most use from them.

Oh, these look very good

I use a program thats a bit like POVray, in that its cheap and not very advanced. Its good for doing detailed single renders, like civlopics but prety slow and lame for doing animations, its why I do so few unit.
