Hello,

CIV IV is a very deep and complex game.
I have realised a guide that covers all the main aspects of the game.
It is a compilation of civ fans contributions and of interesting pages found on the 3 best civ sites on the Net (ie Civ Fanatics, Apolyton and Civfr)
I hope it will help...

First unzip the xxxxxpartial1.zip and the xxxxxpartial2.zip in the same folder than the xxxxxpartial.zip

Then unzip the xxxxxpartial.zip

Sorry, I've not found more easy to do it !

I too am confused, and your readme file in guide ZIP is no help.

After I unZIP everything I get a Word doc. But you don't explain what the partial files relate to the doc. Once you have the doc, do you need the partials anymore? If you do, how do they integrate into the doc?

I figured out how to open it finally. However your guide is just a reprint of charts already available and as a guide it is not much use. However as a reference book it is a concise printable civilopedia. However you assume that a lot of people read English and French both. Why not 2 versions 1 French and 1 English?

Effectively, this handbook was initially to learn the caractéristics of the game even when i was not playing (in bed or in bath for exemple !)
More over it's easier for me to read a printed document than on a screen

As i'm french, of course i'd have prefered to do a french guide ! ....But infortunately most of the interesting document i found on the web were in english.
The few pages in french are page i made myself

My intention was absolutly not to make a guide for the civ players (in french or in english) but to offer them the opportunity to use the document i made for myself whith its imperfections.
Neverthe less i think the few pages in french are easy to understand even for english reader because very "graphical"

Iagree on the printed document aspect and I now have it in a small binder for quick review. Yes the few pages in French are easily understood. I just thought a good document could be a highly polished one. This combined with the Civ IV reference charts is invaluable when I am looking for new twists within the game schema. I use both quite often.

Thanks and good luck with your next project.
