Does anyone understand the ramifications of "Inflation" and "Inflation Offset"?
I'm not sure what these should be running at when moding a Civ version that is xtra really long in terms of duration.

Furthermore, I find the Culture speed confusing. If you increase the percentage, does culture growth slow down? It, like inflation, I find to be somewhat perplexing.

Any insight lent for clarity here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There does appear to be a correlation between the number of turns and InflationPercent / InflationOffset numbers. I'm playing around with these myself in my own longer game mods.

Using the Normal Speed numbers in the vanilla version of GameSpeedInfo.xml as a baseline and comparing them with the other game speeds, you can see a definite pattern. Foe example, the Epic Speed has roughly 1.5 times the number of turns. The Inflation Percent is divided by 1.5, changing from 27 (normal) to 18 (epic). The Inflation Offset is multiplied by 1.5, changing from -100 (normal) to -150 (epic).

The other game speeds seem to follow the same pattern. There has been some rounding off of numbers, but you can find the pattern. I'm guessing that if you make the game last longer without adjusting these values accordingly, inflation will kick in faster than it should. There are other variables involved, no doubt, but I have been adjusting the inflation values in my mods according to the pattern present in the unmodded file.

I haven't tried any culture growth speed changes yet, or looked for the values that control it. Hope this makes a little sense, and helps.:crazyeye:
