The Spanish Tribe found themselves in a large continental, 5 billion year old, warm and arid planet. Regent(difficulty ;)) Warman finds himself in charge of this tribe. His people will soon find themselves trying to gain world power.

4000 BCE: The Spanish settle in Madrid. An excellent river is sitting right next to the city. Reports also come in that minerals are scattered around the lands of Madrid. Regent Warman assumes control from Queen Isabella. The Queen remains the figurehead of Spain, but the regent has true power. He begins building a military. The worker is sent to connect the lands. An idea called Bronze Working is started. We have the knowing of the Alphabet and Ceremonial Burial. We find ourselves to be highly advanced.

3800 BCE: The first road of Spain is finished. The commerce flourishes between the farms and the city. This helps improve science research. Bronze is expected in only 16 turns. Mines are begun to help tap into the rich minerals of the land.

3750 BCE: The first great warrior of Spain is constructed. He is christened “The First”. He is sent scouting to the east on the hill. We spot distant forests. Another Warrior is started.

3650: We reach the distant forest. It is much smaller then once believed. To the south of it, we find a new good called Tobacco. The small amounts that make it back to Madrid greatly pleases the people.

3600: We cross the great forest successfully! We find another ocean to the east. It may be a good spot to send our people. “The First” is now going to be sent north.

2550: We find a large amount of fish! Perhaps this IS a good spot to send our people.

3500: Great News! The culture of Madrid grows and Spain enlarges to twice it’s size. The size of Madrid itself grows at the same time. There is now 30,000 people living in one city! We also finish our second warrior which we dub Steve. Steve is sent south along the river. We also finish our mines and the production of Spain is enlarged. A resource called sugar is discovered to the southwest of Madrid. ‘The First” also discovers a barbarian camp across the bay. We also find something called cattle! A building called Barracks are begun in Madrid.

3400 BCE: ‘The First” frees the barbarian tribe, 25 gold and spots mountains and another river.

3300: Our worker finishes a second road around Madrid and begins a mine in the mineral rich area. ‘The First” climbs a mountain, from the top he can see a great fertile land along the northern river. Steve meanwhile only finds desert atop his mountain.

3050: We finish Bronze working! Bronze opens up the ability to build spearmen and the colossus. We start Pottery.

3000 BCE: We finish our barracks and Madrid grows again! 60,000 now live within the city. ”The First” discovers a land called Tundra to the far north. It is very cold there. Steve finds wheat, sugar and a barbarian camp along the flood plains to the south. There are now many areas capable of housing the next Spanish city.

there will be a report/story like this every 20 turns. At the end the demographic and victory status will be displayed. Oh and any advice is appreciated.

waiting for more info on your game.

were u doing this instead of the update? Well, VERY GOOD story!!!!:)

Regent Warman once again takes charge of the Spanish people...

2910 BCE: We anger a tribe of Jute Warriors! These barbarians look vicious. Lets hope Steve can save himself. We spot another barbarian camp south of ‘The First”

2870: Steve is redlined trying to escape! His forces now rest in the forest, but he may soon fall to the Jutes. “The First” meanwhile makes it’s way towards the camp. Steve then falls to a Jute warrior! Our own Steve. WHY!

2830: The Alamanni tribe is encountered by “the First”. Their skilled warriors joins our ranks. He begins to help “The First” explore. Our settlers are finally ready to find a new city. We quickly start building a spearmen in case of a Jute attack.

2630: We find new City! We call it Barcelona. The lands to the north are completely explored, except for the frigid tundra. Barcelona begins to build spearmen. Eureka! We have discovered pottery. We now begin to work on Writing. The people are pleased with my work and offer to help build up my palace. A brand new yard is put in front of my palace.

2590: Our worker begins to build a road to link up Barcelona. The Alamanni warrior is sent south to Madrid. Meanwhile “The First” heads into the cold tundra. He spots game and can eat!

2510: Our first Spearman is made in Madrid. He is now known as the 1st Royal Guard. The city begins to build a Granary using the new pottery.

2470: We finish the Great Road between Madrid and Barcelona! The connection between the two strengthen our empire. Our worker begins to irrigate grassland used by Barcelona. “The First” finds the edge of the eastern tundra. Time to go back and explore the western.

2310: The irrigation project is finished! But the regent forgets that it will do nothing while they are still in Despotism. He sends the worker to connect the tobacco with Barcelona and the empire.

2230: The Alamanni warrior arrives in Madrid and heads south towards the last location of the Jutes.

2190: We spot the Jutes! They fortify their position in the forest where we lost Steve.

2150: The Alamanni attack! They defeat the Jutes at their own game, but don’t promote. The Tobacco road is finished and links up with Barcelona. The worker is sent to start a road to connect a future city. He discovers a barbarian camp! 16 more turns until writing.

OOC: Well that’s another 20 turns. I still haven’t found another nation. I guess it’s still early in the game. I’m not sure weather to bring up my Alamanni to pop the hut or my worker. Some1 give me advice, please and thank you.

Some1 give me advice, please and thank you.
OK, the key to success in this game is early expansion. Get a granary up and running as quickly as possible - use the whip - preferably in Madrid as it suffers no corruption, and then just pump settlers out for the foreseeable future. You probably don't need that much military yet since you haven't met any other tribes, so emphasize workers now as well. Your third city can be a dedicated military city. Build a barracks there and build military units. Keep exploring! That's my 2 cents worth, you are doing fine.

i ment what should i do about that goody hut, my closest military unit is pretty far away.

2110: I decide to send the Alamanni to pop the hut. Arrives in 6 turns. Meanwhile the worker begins a road and we finally reach the end of the Great Tundra Forest.

2070: The Granary is finished an settles begin to prepare. DISEASE! It strikes Barcelona. The prophets say it is the flood plains. Oh dear gods of Spain stop this now!

1950 BCE: We pop the hut. The glorious Bulgars teach us warrior code! The archers will be mighty in combat.

1910: The Alamanni begin to move west. FURS. We discover 2 sources of fur. This will greatly help our happiness when linked. Also, the tundra of the north is completely explored. “The First” will head back south.

1870: We discover two more furs! This will be needed to be settled soon!

1830: our settler and spearman finish. Madrid begins work on a curragh and Barcelona begins work on a temple. The settler heads out for spot 2. The temple will be finished in 30 turns. The spearman is renamed “1st Garrison.”

1700 BCE: Our curragh is finished and heads south. Work on a settler begins. Seville is founded! The same time that a road is finished to Seville. Seville is a nice port town that rests between fish and cattle. The Alamanni find the Iberian tribe! Two warriors are spotted in the Iberian tribe’s camp. The Alamanni are too inexperienced to fight!

1650: An Iberian warrior comes out of the camp. The Alamanni entrench and wait for a fight. The Alamanni are destroyed!

1600 BCE: We finish Writing! We now begin work on philosophy.

1550: Madrid finishes another settler. He heads to another settler spot.

1500: Madrid culture expands! Our settler continues on it’s way, a warrior trying to protect it. We whip the temple in Barcelona at the cost of 1 citizen. Philosophy in 12 turns. Our ship continues to find nothing.

OOC: according to the demographic we are falling behind! We need to meet a civilization soon!

1475 BCE: The 2nd Garrison is finished in Seville. It begins work on a temple. Meanwhile, Barcelona finishes it’s temple and begins work on a settler. We drop luxury down to 0% so we are breaking even.

1450: Our ship finds an orange border! We may soon find a new civilization.

1425: Madrid finishes the 3rd Garrison. It heads towards our new city, Toledo. Toledo will finish a temple in 15 turns. “The First” will guard Toledo until it’s garrison arrives. Our curragh enters the borders of this unknown civilization. Hopefully they will see it and contact us soon. Philosophy in 8.

1400: They don’t talk to us, but we find England. We soon talk to our English friends. Elizabeth is the Queen and leader of their country. They trade us masonry and 5 gold for writing! The English have now become polite towards us. We also learn that they are impressed with our culture! The English still are more advanced then us though. They have things called the wheel, iron working and mysticism. Maybe there are other civilizations helping the English do their research. I have decided to change Barcelona from a settler to a worker.

1375: Barcelona’s culture expands!

1325: The 3rd Garrison arrives in Toledo. The First prepares to journey and destroy the Iberians. Also we hear of a civilization called the Sumerians, they have finished “The oracle”

1275: Another settler leaves Madrid. His destination is the food plains to the south. Philosophy is done next turn. Lets hope we’re the first. If we are our priests say we could immediately learn literature.

1250: We learn philosophy AND literature. Our priests were right! We now decide to learn map making. We trade philosophy to the English for the wheel and 20 gold. We are catching up! We also see horses next to Toledo and Barcelona! The Barcelona worker do next turn will link this up quickly.

1225: A Goth raiding ship attacks our curragh! Our ship is victorious however. Take that you pirates! Barcelona finishes the worker and begins a barracks. Seville finishes the temple and begins a spearman.

1200: Our new worker begins work on the horse road.

1175: Madrid finishes the spearman and begins a library. We need to research techs better!

1150: A jute warrior appears on the mountain near our settler. We decide to build the city of Santiago anyways. Better we lose some gold then a settler.

1125: LUCK! The stupid Jutes fortify rather than move on to raid our town. The spearman will now be able to get there faster then the Jutes! We also finish the horse road!

1075: The Japanese find us! We talk to them and teach their warriors how to write in return for mysticism and 60 gold.

1050: Toledo finishes it’s temple. We begin work on a spearman to protect the soon to be settler.

1025: We defeat an Iberian attacker. We fortify and wait to get our strength back. The Japanese are not in range to attack.

1000: We attack the Iberians and “The First” falls! No we will not get the 25 gold! Darn it! Meanwhile, we meet the Americans. They give us horseback riding and 9 gold for philosophy. We are forced to drop science to 70%. This does bring us into +2 gold, but it will take an extra 3 turns for map making. We whip the library in Madrid. We need that soon. This also forces us to up the luxury to 10%. This brings us back down to -1. Arg!

OOC: I’ve decided to do 25 turns now ;)

975: Thanks to the library we now need 12 turns instead of 14. Madrid begins work on a horseman. The Japanese will give us Iron Working for philosophy and 26 gold. I like this deal, and take it. We are still up literature on all of them. I’m not sure weather to give it to them or not. It would easily make us up to par with them, but it might mean losing the Great library. I go for it. Literature gets us Mathematics and 100 gold from America. Literature and 159 gold gets us polytheism from England. We are now technologically equal! We see iron in a mountain to the south of Madrid, where the Jutes were.

950: Toledo’s culture expands!

925: I decide to start building a wonder in Madrid rather then the horseman. The colossus will help us all the way till flight so I decide to go for it.

900: Seville finishes a settler and begins a barracks. I decide to build a embassy with Japan. They’re the only civ that I don’t know where they are. Kyoto is to the southwest of our lands. It has 2 civilians, both content. It also has 2 spearman. It’ll finish the Pyramids in 127 turns. They are so close, I wonder why it took so long for them to find us.

875: Our settler arrives at the spot that it will settle next turn. Toledo is building a settler to settle a spot. Colossus in 36. Map Making in 7. We are breaking even with 16 gold. Right now America has the highest score, America is first. America is growing fast. Hopefully Spain can stay even in the tech race, build some military units after the expansion phase. My first target might be Japan, or England.

850 BCE: We settle Murcia next to the furs.

730 BCE: Our fur road is finished! These bring much joy to our people and happy times soon follow. We are able to finally put some Madrid citizens to work. Colossus in 25 now. We also find a third American city, Philadelphia. Our people wonder where the capital is.

710 BCE: We discover Map Making! We begin work on a code of laws. The settler in Toledo is built and begins moving to a spot protected by a settler. We finally start making a profit of +1. Toledo begins work on a barracks.

690: We spot a Marcomanni warrior nearing Santiago. Our spearman should keep the city safe.

670: Santiago finishes it’s Temple. It begins work on a settler.

650: An unknown people and city called Paris finish the Colossus! Madrid begins work on the Pyramids, do in 55. We discover Houston, another American city.

630: We bring science spending down to 60%, we are only making +1 now.

610: Valencia is founded to the north. An unhappy Madridian is turned into a scientist. This actually brings us up to what we were before. Our ship finds the Persians! They are technologically inferior to all other nations. They also don’t have horses, but do have silks.

590: A worker is finished in Barcelona. I think this is our worker factory ;). He begins a road to connect Santiago. Another worker finishes a mine in Madrid, bringing Pyramids down to 45 turns.

550: The 6th Garrison is finished in Seville. He will protect a settler to it’s destination.

530: Murcia finishes it’s temple, begins work for a harbor. We are able to bring luxury down to 0%. We are breaking even.

510: I think we will see Japanese shores soon. Our ship has gone 3/4 around the continent! I decide to turn the entertainer in Santiago into a tax collector. This doesn’t make an unhappy citizen, and will let us collect 2 gold per turn.

470: We discover Tokyo! See what did I tell you ;)

450: Our prophets have learned the secrets of laws. We now have code of laws! We begin work on Currency, it’ll take the least amount of time, 25 turns. Our ship also finds an undefended Japanese city, Nara.

430: Seville finishes the settler. It and it’s escort head out towards a good spot next to the iron. The “Zulu’s” finish the pyramids! So we begin work on the Great Lighthouse, due in 23.

410: Toledo finishes a settler, but has to wait for the guard.

390: The Americans build an embassy in our capital. We are pleased to hear this.

350: Our ship nears our ports. However I am worried that it won’t make it. A barbarian galley might destroy our 1 hp curragh! With a settler group on the way, and another in the works, we continue to expand. 2 horsemen are being built to explore the interior. Meanwhile a Phoenician raiding party nears our borders! We must be on the bad continent, the top 4 other cities are on the other!

warman350bce.png

warmandemography350bce.png

330: Darn It! The Iroquois have finished the Great Lighthouse! We change production to the great Library, 32 turns. Valencia finishes it’s temple and begins a barracks. I move the curragh into the ocean to avoid the barbarians.

310: The Persians finish the Mausoleum of Massalos, we would have been 2 turns away from that. Toledo finishes it’s Spearman and the settler group heads out. It will arrive in 8 turns. Santiago finishes a settler and begins work on a barrack. Our curragh survives in the ocean! The curragh has to stay in the sea to avoid the galley though. We might just lose it to treacherous waters rather then pirates.

290: Murcia finishes it’s Harbor and begins work on a galley. Our curragh survives the seas and is now in the coast just 1 turn move from Valencia! Settler group south reaches it’s iron destination.

270: Seville finishes it’s horseman! It begins work on another. The horseman(which I forgot to name) soon races south to meet barbarians within our borders. The city of Zaragoza is set up next to the iron. We will soon build a worker and harbor to connect it.

250: The mongols finish the Statue of Zeus. We don’t have ivory. Our horseman, renamed the first cavalry, easily dispatches a barbarian horseman with no losses. These barbarians are nothing!

230: The Sumerians finish the temple of Artemis. Meanwhile the 1st Cavalry dispatches another barbarian horseman. Our Curragh is healed and renamed “The Grand Explorer.” It begins a trip to Murcia to become a Galley.

210: The 6th Garrison at Zaragoza defeats the Marcomanni warriors with ease. Meanwhile the 1st Cavalry defends itself against a Phoenician warrior and becomes Elite! The Iberian pirates come in striking distance of our Grand Explorer. I fear the worst. Once the people hear the news of our glorious victories and the ousting of the barbarians, they offer to expand my palace! I agree and build some nice steps.

190: The Grand Explorer defends itself with only 1 hp loss! No experience up though. >_< it is able to reach Murcia and upgrade into a Galley. We only have 2 gold now. Xerxes gives me 40 gold for Literature though, so I only lost 5 gold.

150: Seville produces our second horseman, the 2nd Cavalry it begins work on a Library. We hear about a massive Barbarian uprising near Valencia! Luckily I just finished a road to Valencia. The 2nd Cavalry hurries up there, will arrive next turn. Settler group east will be able to build it’s town next turn.

130: We find Pamplona to the east. The 2nd Cavalry arrives in Valencia

110: The now exploring 1st cavalry finds horses on a hill next to England across the Great Desert. England doesn’t have horses.

90: Barcelona creates the 3rd Cavalry. It too moves up to Valencia. The unhappy person in Santiago is turned into a scientist. This brings currency into 2 turns reach, rather then 3.

70: Valencia finishes it’s barracks and begins a harbor. The 3rd Cavalry reaches Valencia. Next turn, it and the 2nd will search out the barbarians.

50: Tokugawa demands Literature. We can’t afford a war with only 3 offensive units I give into his demands. We discover Currency! We are able to get Monarchy from America for 12 gold and Currency. We sell Math to Xerxes for another 40 gold. I sell Currency to England for 200 gold. I now realize I should have given Currency and 30 gold to Japan for Monarchy, and got construction from America for Currency. Damn English wouldn’t trade Construction!

30: The 1st Squadron(a galley) is built in Murcia. It begins to explore. We switch to the Hanging Gardens in Madrid, due in 3 turns.

10: Rioters in Toledo are turned into scientists. This brings construction down to 14 turns. Our expedition to find barbarians in the north succeeds. Perched on top of a hill, they spot the camp. 12 horsemen and 2 warriors. The Vandals could destroy my country! Valencia changes to a spearman to help protect the attack. We will not attack until we have enough units.

10 AD: The English finish the Great Library in London. Our mystics decide now is a time to switch to AD to represent this great achievement The Hanging Gardens is assured because it’s due next turn.

30 AD: We finish the Hanging Gardens of Madrid! The Hanging Gardens makes people happy all over the empire as people come to visit it and marvel at it’s splendor. The 1st Squadron discovers Vandal pirates! They might attack soon. Madrid will finish a Marketplace in 12 turns, same amount of time for construction.

warmanHangingGardens.png

50 AD: The Vandal pirates can not destroy the 1st Squadron. Our veteran sailors easily dispatch of them and continue exploring. Now that my wonder is done, I decide this would be the best time to switch governments. To monarchy we go.

70: As the nation sinks into anarchy, Barcelona revolts.

90: Barcelona rejoins the new Kingdom. Spain is able to regroup as Regent Warman quickly marries Queen Isabella. The new King Warman controls the monarchy of Spain. We are now making +6 gold per turn, much better then before thanks to less corruption and some micromanagment by the King.

110: The 1st Auxiliary, the spearman made from Valencia, takes it’s place on the battlefield southeast of the barbarians. This will be the encampment for my forces. The 2nd and 3rd Cavalry launch their attacks. They kill the 2 warriors protecting the camp. The 3rd Cavalry suffers minor damage, but the 2nd is redlined.

130: Seville finishes it’s Library. Construction in 7 turns. Our workers connect Santiago. The barbarians amazingly don’t attack. Our troops fortify.

150: Santiago finishes it’s barracks. The 3rd Cavalry, now recuperated launches an attack and bags a Vandal horseman for no loss.

OOC: I decided to do 30 turns ;)

170: The 3rd launches another successful, no losses attack on the Vandals. They’re down to just 10 horseman now.

190: Barcelona builds a settler. The 2nd and 3rd now launch attacks, both without losses.

230: continue blasting barbs etc.

250: Xerxes demands tribute in form of Monarchy. I tell him to shove it. He gets annoyed, but doesn’t declare war! Toledo finishes a settler. The Madrid Marketplace is due in 1, same as construction. Horsemen are being built, and iron will soon be linked. I will launch a suicide galley soon to discover the other continent.

OOC: Could I get some feed back here?

warman250ad.png

warmandemography250ad.png

thats where those two settlers are going ;)

warmanmiddleages.png

260: Our alchemists say we have entered a new age, and our buildings suggest the same after we learn construction. The 2nd cavalry takes light losses while the 3rd takes none. The vandals are down to just 4 horsemen. Our first marketplace is built in Madrid.

270: the 3rd takes out another vandal. Our 1st Squadron finds not only Bulgar pirates but a bulgar camp too.

280: The Bulgar pirates launch a feeble attack on our 1st Squadron. Murcia meanwhile finishes it’s Barracks and begins a 10 turn horseman. Pamplona finishes it’s temple and begins a 15 turn harbor. The second cavalry successfully defeats another vandal horseman, the third quickly follows. The king decides to send the 1st auxiliary in to finish the vandals off. We destroy their camp and gain 25 gold. We are forced to resend a settler group thanks to the Japanese taking it’s spot! We send the elite 1st cavalry to go after the Bulgar camp. It’ll arrive in 90 years.

290: We find another continent! Our 1st squadron is send across the west sea. It finds a whole other continent. It lays in sea though and may sink before it arrives in coastal waters.

300: Barcelona finishes the 4th Cavalry as we start a new worker. The city of Vitrona is founded inside the frigid tundra of the north. Fish provides the city with food. Townsfolk find a camp of barbarians call the Kushans on the edge of our lands. They have 2 warriors with them. The 1st Squadron discovers the Sumerian city of Zabalam, we contact them and find they are technologically advanced! They however don’t even know what literature is! We then discover the Korean city of Kaesong, the Koreans are also more advanced. Both countries though don’t know of literature yet know engineering, the republic and feudalism!

310: The city of Santander is founded to the north. The Kushans approach Vitrona, but the 2nd Cav finishes off a warrior. We discover a second Korean city.

320: Seville finishes our second Marketplace and begins an aqueduct. The 1st Squadron finds a third Korean port, Wonsan.

330: The 4th Cavalry that’s out exploring, finds a Goth camp. It will be removed soon.

340: We watch the Japanese defeat a Kushan raider. The 3rd Cavalry then destroys the Kushan camp. The Korean port of Namp’o is discovered.

350: The Japanese finish off the Goths >_<. Ulsan is discovered. The 5th Cavalry is finished in Santiago.

360: The 3rd finds the Hun camp and will destroy it next turn. The 2st Calvary meanwhile destroys the Bulgar camp.

370: The 3rd takes care of the huns. It seems as though the barbarians surround us on all sides as the 1st finds the Iberians! The Iberians?! We thought they had been extinct for thousands of years. It appears although the migrated. We discover Pyongsong

380: Murcia finishes the 6th Cavalry. Our military is slowly growing. The 1st Auxiliary is renamed the 8th Garrison. The 1st Cavalry dispatches of the Iberians once more. We discover Manp’o.

390: We link the Iron up! We also discover the capital of Korea, Seoul. It is located on a lake that is separated from the sea by a small isthmus.

420: Madrid finishes it’s Colosseum. It starts courthouse as a shield holder for Sun Tzu, that we will start in 3 turns.

430: We give in to Tokugawa’s demand for 45 gold.

440: We discover the Zulu! They give us Feudalism and 2 gold for Literature. This brings us 1 turn up on Sun Tzu(Feudalism is due next turn). The Royal Guard is the only upgraded unit so far.

450: The Americans demand Feudalism. I refuse to hand technology over! They have declare war on the glorious Spanish people! We begin to research Monotheism so we can get to Chivalry. After current builds are done, only military will be built. I build embassies with England and Persia. For 45 gold and construction, Persia declares war on America. The English only need 50 gold and they hurry against America. We also gain a ROP with them. America now has no way to attack me.

470: We find a nice little short cut through Zulu territory ;)

490: The 2nd-5th Cavalry are gathered in Santiago and begin their trek towards America

520: Asturias is founded. Jaen is founded.

530: Parthian Pirates destroy our 1st Squadron!

550: Our cavalry arrive on what appears to be Oxford. This English town is occupied by the Americans. My horsemen launch the attack against the American warrior. The 5th Cavalry overruns the American warriors. The 2nd Cavalry then defeats the defending American horseman and we capture Oxford. The 3rd Cavalry, heros in the Vandal war, defeats a spearman-settler group without losses. The 4th Cavalry close in on an American horseman-settler group. After that we will regroup and press onto Dover.

warman550ad.png

560: The 4th Cavalry destroys an American settler group and takes 2 workers.

570: America counter-attacks! They destroy the 4th Cavalry and retake their workers. The 2nd Cavalry destroys the murderers of the 4th Cavalry and the 3rd retake the workers.

580: The road with Jaen is finished. All of our home cities have now been linked. Vitrona also finishes it’s temple, but begins barracks before starting military. The 3rd Cavalry defeats an American horseman outside of Dover. The 2nd defeats a horseman inside of Dover. A redlined horseman is now shown inside of Dover. If only the 4th was here!

590: The people expand my palace! We now have a nice 2nd floor. The 4th Regiment destroys a hun intruder. The 3rd Cavalry takes out another American horseman but is redlined! The 2nd Cavalry strikes at the Dover defender and is yellow-lined, but takes the town!

600: We discover Monotheism! We begin work on chivalry, due in 140 years(14 turns). We trade Japan feudalism for The Republic. We do not like it though, so we stick with Monarchy for now. We get Engineering from Korea for 113 gold and monotheism. Bridges now cross our rivers! Sumer is still in front of us in all techs!(theology and invention!) But they have yet to get chivalry. If we research it, we might be able to trade techs.

610: Santander finishes it’s temple. Our elite 1st Cavalry arrive in Dover.

620: The 1st and 2nd cavalry move on towards America. Our military continues to move towards America.

630: The 1st Cavalry defends against an attack! It is decided to retreat for now.

640: The Zulu have chivalry! As do the Sumerians! AHHHH! The Americans retake their workers, ahh! The 1st destroys their horseman and the 5th retakes the workers.

650: The 5th Cavalry defeats a spearman in Kansas City, our next target. We have decided to take these smaller less important cities first, as staging grounds. Our first reinforcements arrive since the 1st cavalry, The 6th Cavalry and the 1st Regiment(medieval infantry) arrive near Oxford.

660: The 5th is defeated by an American horseman! The road between Santiago and England is finished!

670: The Japanese city of Ise has overthrown it’s governor and joins the Spanish kingdom! The 6th cavalry defeats an American horseman outside of Kansas city. The English might conquer it soon, because they have a horseman right next to it.

680: The English raze Kansas City to the ground! We wanted it :(. The 6th Cavalry defeats another American horseman on the ruins of Kansas City.

690: Our new target is Richmond, a city close to our forces.

700: Our forces continue to move towards the front, 2 new regiments were completed this turn, making us have 12 medieval infantry so far.

710: We bring forth 3 horseman against Richmond. The 6th retreats after fighting a spearman. The 7th is destroyed fighting a different spearman. The 8th also retreats. NO enemy spearman were destroyed, and both were only hurt by 1!

720: The Americans destroy both the 6th and the 8th! AHHH! We finish Chivalry and begin Theology. We send out the 1st Regiment and it destroys an American archer and becomes elite! Both our 1sts are now elite :p. The road around London is finally completed, and allows much quicker movement for our forces. Ise is linked to our country. For the cost of 120 gold, the 13h cavalry horseman becomes a knight.

730: The 1st regiment throws back 2 American horsemen without losses. The 1st then destroys one of it’s attackers.

740: The 1st cavalry goes down to 2hp, but is able to defeat an American spearman in Richmond. The 1st Regiment then defeats the other. A redlined horseman shows, but we have no available units. The 2nd and 3rd regiments however are able to protect the 1st cavalry from further attack.

750: Seville riots, but entertainers will return it next turn. The 2nd and 3rd regiments defeat a horseman each in Richmond, and the 3rd captures the city and 4 POWs! Two horseman though surround the city and need to be dealt with. The 9th Cavalry is redlined as it destroys one to the east. The 12th Cavalry is destroyed attacking the one to the south! The 1st Regiment is forced to step in and destroy the red-lined unit. We now have 3 American cites to choose from, an unknown one to the east surrounded by forest, San Francisco a port with grassland to the south, or Los Angeles a port with plains and sugar to the south-west. We have dispatched the 9th Regiment to capture Las Vegas, a desert city to the far west, surrounded by Persian and Japanese cities. The other continent continues to advance faster then our own. Sun Tzu’s Art of War is due in 3 turns. My plan is to head towards Navigation and get maps before anyone else, hopefully this works. Theology in 12. According to F11, we are now the largest nation in the world ^_^. Our score and culture is still inferior to the Sumerians, I hope we won’t have to rush to destroy them like Sandman did.

typo, it should say culture did expand, not did culture expand.

760: The 1st Regiment defeats an American archer’s attack, but is relined. I safely move it into Richmond. We are forced to sign an RoP with Japan to get our troops to the frontlines faster. We trade them engineering for an RoP, Silks and 80 gold and now they’re polite too. We decide to move against Los Angeles. The 11th Cavalry is forced to retreat when the defenders became too much for us to handle. The 2nd Regiment comes down to reinforce.

770: The defenders of Los Angeles destroys the 2nd Regiment, they are only Spearmen! We now decide to move the 4th, 5th and 6th Regiments against the city.

warmansuntzu.png

780: We finish Sun Tzu’s Art of War! The Sumerians finish Leonardo’s Workshop in Lagash! The 5th Regiment defeats a spearman in Los Angeles. The 6th is destroyed and only deals 1 damage to this regular spearman! The 4th Regiment however captures the city. The 10th Regiment and 3rd Cavalry are moved outside the city of San Diego (formerly unknown name)

790: The 10th regiment destroys a spearman, but the 3rd is lost forever! We do however link up our new American holdings to the English Route. The 1st and 7th Regiments are moved next to San Diego.

800: The Americans attempt to offer peace, but they do not even give us San Diego or San Francisco, cities that we would like to own, to solidify our claim of the area. The 1st Regiment takes out a spearman in San Diego, while the 7th takes the city from a fresh American defender. We move the 3rd and 4th Regiments next to San Francisco as well as the newly arrived 13th Cavalry, our knights.

810: The French contact us! This is important because we never knew where they were. They offer us contacts, they must have printing press! They give us contact with the mongols, theology and invention for contact with our continent and 109 gold. We accept. We get communications with the Vikings and Iroquois for 120 gold. The Iroquois are dumb, as are the Vikings! We have now also gained the edge over the Koreans. The rest of the other continent remains more advanced however, the Sumerians and French specifically. Meanwhile of the Frontlines, the 1st Cavalry retreats after almost losing to an archer! The 11th now tries and succeeds. They find the borders of another American city! San Francisco falls, but not before the 3rd Regiment is destroyed. We see 2 American horsemen within striking distance, they might take the city back!

820: The 4th Regiment and 13th Cavalry is lost as San Francisco is retaken! The 9th Cavalry destroys an American horseman next to San Francisco. The 11th Cavalry has fallen into an American trap as it probes the occupied city of Sidon’s defenses, the city we found last turn. It stops right next to an American archer.

830: The 11th defeats the American Archer! The 9th Regiment destroys a defender at Las Vegas but another awaits behind that, and an archer is in the town. The 9th might just be finished as it was hurt in the battle. The 9th Cavalry falls attacking the horseman defending San Francisco(what!)

840: The 10th Regiment defeats a horseman defending San Francisco, but is redlined. The 7th Regiment however defeats the other defending horseman easily and even becomes elite! Our text target will be to liberate Sidon. The 12th Regiment and 14th Cavalry are on the way.

850: With the 13th Regiment, Pikeman, finished in Oxford, we can start to build a temple there and we can move the 8th Regiment out. We upgrade the 11th Cavalry into knights. The 14th Cavalry scores a victory against the defenses in Sidon, without any type of losses.

860: The cultures of both Jaen and ise expand! The Americans land an archer next to Dover in an attempt to retake it. The 8th Regiment is right there though and quickly dispatches of the poor American archers. Sidon falls to the 14th Cavalry.

870: The 11th Calvary launches a successful attack on an American horseman near St. Louis. The 7th Regiment defeats a defender at Baltimore, but the 10th Regiment is destroyed.

880: An American counter-attack destroys the 7th Regiment! The 15th Cavalry destroys this horrible horseman. The 9th Regiment destroys Las Vegas after defeating it’s sole defender.

890: The 14th Garrison is finished in Dover, allowing the 2nd Cavalry to move out. The 15th Cavalry is redlined when it takes Baltimore and sinks a galley inside of it, but it turns Elite, and is only yellow-lined. We trade England all of our contacts and furs in order to get Education 6 turns early. We begin to research Astronomy. Luckily no one else has it, yet. We have it due in 17 turns.

900: Our people expand the palace! I now have a third floor.

920: The Sumerians have Astronomy! AHHH! The 8th and 12th Regiments arrive outside of Buffalo. The 14th and 16th Cavalry attack Memphis, an American town on the Persian border. The 14th takes out a spearman, but the 16th is forced to retreat.

930: The 14th and 16th retreat to Sidon to take a breather. The 8th Regiment defeats a spearman in Buffalo. The 12th then defeats another defender and takes the city. The 11th Cavalry, which has been scouting out the American interior attacks an Archer near Buffalo and quickly destroys it. The 17th and 18th Cavalry move onto Cleveland, the closest city to Washington yet, but it is still not a core being in desert and all. The 17th is destroyed, but the 18th is not so easily handled with and destroys the an American defender. The 1st Regiment moves in to take the city next turn.

940: Persia and America sign peace! The 1st Regiment takes Cleveland and the 18th moves in to heal. The 1st Royal Knights(anything built in my capital is royal) closes in. Our next target is St. Louis. We will wait until the 15th and 11th cavalry arrive though.

950: The people once again expand my palace! I now put towers in front of my glorious palace. We trade Korea Education for Printing Press and 18 gold. The 15th arrives in Cleveland. The 14th and 16th Cavalry now launch an attack on Memphis again. This time we will not go empty handed! The 14th takes the sole defender and 2 workers as it also becomes Elite! So far we have only been taking more or less American outposts, colonies and border cities, we have yet to hit their core. We have taken 9 American cities and freed 2 captured cities. We have come up with what we will do to the Americans. We will pick off their core cities 1 by 1 before we move onto Washington. Perhaps peace will be made before then. We will ask after we take St. Louis. The cities we ant for peace are either Houston and Atlanta or New Orleans and Atlanta, either way, we want Atlanta.

I just skimmed your story, didn't read it. But I see 2 things that are not good.
1 - Where are your workers ? By 950 AD your lands should be completley roaded, mined and irrigated !
2 - What a horrible wide city-placing.
I took the 3000 BC dotmap and spend 20 seconds updating it to show how close I build. You might not like the density, but yours is far too wide (in my opinion) .

1. most of my captured workers are still making their journey north, and i don't build workers like crazy like most other peopole. If i need more i build more. My land doesn't need to be super crowded.

2. you're right, i don't like the density ;)

960: The 16th Cavalry launches an attack on Cincinnati defeating 1 spearman. The 16th becomes elite! The 14th then launches an attack and defeats another spearman. A horseman and archer are all that’s left defending the town.

970: The Japanese get rid of our RoP >_<. I do not pursue to replace it, but the valuable silks instead. My people love me so much they continue to build on my palace! I plant trees and gardens around my palace ^_^. The 14th Cavalry defeats the horseman in the town, but is redlined! The 16th then launches the final strike and destroys the city forever. Our main advances right flank is now secure. We will launch Operation Arch next turn.

980: England signs the Mongols against America! The 19th Cavalry is drawn from attacking to protect Buffalo. An American counterattack is spotted coming towards that city. The 16th Cavalry dispatches of a rouge American archer near the ruins of Cincinnati. Slave labor from America will begin work on a second English Route linking from Jaen. This will hopefully speed up our supplies etc. We launch Operation Arch, the 1st Royal Knights, the elite 15th, 18th Cavalries and elite 1st Regiment are all involved in the operation. The 16th Cavalry will join them once it heals. The 1st Royal Knights launch the first attack, but is repulsed, but lives to see another day! The 18th then brings down a defender. The 15th Calvary takes the city with no losses! The 1st Regiment comes in to reinforce. We begin to move forces in the American rear such as the 5th and 9th Regiments up to the front.

990: The Americans hit Buffalo with 2 horsemen! The 19th Cavalry destroys one, while the takes the other. The Americans now have3 archers outside of Baltimore. We desperately move the weakened 19th Cavalry to defend the city as well as the 5th Regiment, but the 5th is unable to reach it or the attackers. We link Jaen up and see if it is the faster route...it isn’ v_v.

1000: A new millennium shines down upon the world. Baltimore falls! The American counterattack successfully takes the city, as they lose 1 archer. The 5th Regiment launches an attack to retake the city, and Baltimore is once again in Spanish hands. The 20th Cavalry takes out an Archer outside of Baltimore but is redlined! Lincoln will still not settle for peace if he hands over Atlanta and Houston! His counterattack has failed, what does he plan to do?! For 52 gold I rush pikemen in Los Angeles and Richmond. I want protection!

1010: We gain knowledge of astronomy and begin work on Navigation. The 20th Cavalry holds out against 1 horseman but not another. Lincoln did have a 2nd counter attack. Baltimore is once again under siege but the 5th Regiment holds out and becomes elite! We change Madrid from a knight to Copernicus Observatory. We launch a counter-offense against the Americans. The 9th Regiment takes down an Archer outside of Baltimore, the 21st Cavalry then takes out a horseman. It appears Baltimore is safe. We split up our offensive force. The 1st Regiment heads to Atlanta, while the Knights head to Boston. The 12th Regiment destroys an American horseman near Buffalo and becomes elite! Lincoln still refuses our demands. The fool.

1020: The 15th is destroyed by an American horseman! No! We launch our attack on Boston. The 1dst Royal Knights take out 1 defender. The 15th Cavalry takes out another, but what’s this. The great leader Cordoba has arisen from the battle! The 18th Cavalry then takes the city. Cordoba heads over to St. Louis and builds an army. The 11th Cavalry immediately joins. Cordoba’s own 15th will soon. We check some diplomacy and what’s this The Sumerians are way ahead in the tech race! The have Music Theory, Gunpowder and Navigation. How is this even possible?!?!??! France has the same! We trade France our world map for their territory map and 100 gold. We then trade Gilgy our world map for his. The Koreans then trade us Gunpowder for Astronomy and 172 gold. We upgrade the Grand Explorer into a caravel. He will be sent out next turn. We look for Saltpeter, our surveyors find none in our homeland, but do find some next to Dover(a captured American city ^_^) and next to Washington.

1030: The English sign the Iroquois against America! The French finish the Observatory >_<. We want science v_v. The 1st Regiment attacks Atlanta and takes out 1 defender. The 21st Cavalry then takes out the other defender and takes the city. It also becomes Elite. Then the 15th Cavalry and 1st Royal Knights join with Cordoba’s Army. It then takes out a Horseman outside of Atlanta. The Americans prepare another attack on Buffalo. 2 Horseman stand ready to attack, we move the 5th Regiment down to help protect, but we are unsure if the city will hold again. We have passed America in score! We are now #3. As word of our victories spread around Spain, many people and soldiers decide to join a new type of unit, the Conquistadors. These brave warriors plan to see fame and fortune down in America. Many suggest that if they actually succeed, Spain will enter a golden age! We begin to renegotiate peace with people, we gain 116 gold from Persia, 20 gold from Japan, 46 Gold from England, 36 gold from Korea, 37 from Zulus, 16 from Gilgy, 138 from Iroquois, 20 gold from France. In total we gained 429 gold! ^_^. That’s good enough to upgrade our remaining horsemen, the 1st Cavalry and 2nd Cavalry into Knights!

1040: We repulse the attack on Buffalo with no losses! Luckily we are able to switch the building of Copernicus into the Heroic Epic, due in 4 turns. The 5th Regiment and Cordoba’s Army destroy the two horsemen that attacked Buffalo. The 10th Regiment destroys an American archer stationed in a forest between Baltimore and Atlanta. The 21st Cavalry takes out an American horseman outside of Boston, while the 16th takes out an Archer. A Pikeman is rushed in Buffalo, the city has seen so much fighting!

1050: Pamplona begins cranking out Caravels to help explore the world. Troop movements. Our next targets are the cities of New Orleans and Chicago, we want to take out their southern cities(Chicago, New Orleans, Detroit, Miami, Dallas).

1060: The first Conquistadors leave Santiago. The Persian town of Ergili overthrows it’s governor and joins with The Spanish Kingdom! Chicago is protected by a river. We are forced to waste time and the 22nd and Cordoba’s Army crosses it. We will have to wait till next turn to attack it.

1070: England signs Sumeria against America! America discovers Feudalism! America now has Pikemen and Medieval Infantry! We have yet to face enemy forces of equal strength before. Can our Knights be as effective against Pikemen as they were Spearmen? We find out as the 22nd assaults Chicago. It is forced to retreat! Chicago is a city though, and this helps the American defenders greatly. Cordoba’s Army is forced to destroy all three defenders and take Chicago. Thank goodness for Cordoba ^_^. The 2nd Cavalry takes out an American Medieval Infantry approaching Boston. The 23rd Cavalry attacks New Orleans and takes out a spearman, but is redlined.

1080: Persia declares war on us! O_O They quickly reconquer their city of Sidon. The 14th Cavalry in Memphis holds off against 2 Persian horsemen. We finish the Heroic Epic! We quickly sign Japan against the Persians for the Printing Pres. We sign England against the Persians as well for 130 gold. Perhaps we should have returned Sidon to the Persians, this would’ve never happened! Meanwhile the 5th Regiment destroys a Pikeman in New Orleans. We quickly rush a pikeman in Memphis. Are offers are almost bare, we have but 30 gold! We contact the French. In return for horses, they give us Navigation(5 turns early), 130 gold and their territory map. We begin work on Banking. With Navigation we begin to sell our world maps, first with our continent, then the next. Japan gives us their world map and 18 gold, England gives us their world map and 280 gold! Now the other continent, France gives me 20 gold, Zulu gives me Ivory, territory map and 13 gold, Sumeria gives me 15 gold, Mongols give me gems and 7 gold. The Vikings give me their world map, the Iroquois give me incense, 17 gold and their world map. With even more of the map we begin to sell it again! Zululand gives us their world map and 20 gold. Korea gives us 13 gold and their world map. France gives us their world map, Iroquois gives us 11 gold, mongols give us their world map and Sumeria gives us 40 gold and their world map. We now have 631 gold, that’s a 601 increase! We also now have knowledge of the entire world(almost, oceans still unexplored). Zululand then gives us Music Theory and 30 gold for Navigation. THE 630 YEAR WAR IS OVER! We make peace with America in light of the new Persian threat. The Americans quickly sign over command of New Orleans to us. The once mighty American Republic has been reduced to 6 cities as we conquered 14 from them, and destroyed 2 completely. The Persians also conquered 2 cities from America. The once powerful Ameircans, 3rd greatest power(score) on the planet has been reduced to number 7 by the end of the war. The English none. In return for 484 gold, Navigation and our world map, England sells us Chemistry. The 16th, 18th and 21st Cavalry now begin to move north towards Persia, the 14th Cavalry will not be able to hold much longer. The 1st Cavalry now moves towards Sidon. The Persians do posses saltpeter and iron

1090: Memphis holds out against a lone longbowman, the 4 archers that were around the city do not attack. This allows the Pikeman to be built! The city of St. Louis deposes us and joins the Americans >_<. My nation is very happy as many, many cities celebrate. They even build on my palace! An eastern wing is built on my palace. The 24th Cavalry attacks Sidon and destroys a horseman defender. We sign America over against the Persians for invention. They are now polite towards us and eagerly sign an RoP. :p.

1100: Sidon falls once more the Persians >_<. The 1st Cavalry is lost forever. People mourn this for months. People still love me though and they add a west wing to my palace. The 1st Conquistador defeats a Persian horseman in battle, the Spanish golden age has begun! The 24th Cavalry retreats from Sidon as it is almost defeated. The 16th Cavalry destroys an Archer outside of Sidon. The 18th then takes out a spearman in the city and the 21st takes it after destroying an Archer. The 14th Cavalry then takes out an archer outside of Memphis.

warmangoldenage.png

1110: Our conquistadors are destroyed, and all the celebrations end. My palace is still expanded as th west wing grows. We sign an RoP with Japan. Cordoba’s Army destroys an archer outside the Persian city of Jinjan on the American border. The town will soon burn.

1120: Cordoba’s Army burns Jinjan to the ground(size 1).

1130: Cordoba’s Army destroys a horseman, archer and another horseman. The 14th Cavalry destroys an immortal. We launch an attack on Bactra. The 16th Cavalry is repulsed, the 21st takes out a pikeman, and the 18th takes out a spearman. An immortal is shown protecting the city.

1140: We link Saltpeter! Seattle(under Persian control) falls to Cordoba’s might.

1150: We discover Banking, and begin Physics! The 25th Cavalry takes out an immortal in Bactra. The 21st is destroyed attacking an archer in the city, what! The 18th then takes the city though, as well as it’s saltpeter. America retakes New York from Persia. Maybe getting America in wasn’t such a good idea, considering they are regaining power, but if I didn’t Persia will take longer to destroy. San Francisco, San Diego and Cleveland’s culture expands. I have 3 regiments converging on the Persian town of Istakhr. They will eventually(hopefully) take the 3 Persian cities on the second Peninsula(where Persia also gets it’s iron ;)) My plan right now is to get to Theory of Gravity to get Newton’s university to help my science. The Sumerians already have metallurgy and physics... We finally put our furs to good use and sell one to Zululand for 200 gold and world map. Sumeria gives us 220 gold and world map for another fur. We still got 1 to trade ;).

1160: One of our Medieval Infantry falls to a Persian archer! The 1st Regiment destroys this menace. Cordoba’s Army and the 14th Cavalry look down on a hill upon the city of Pasargadae, a musketman is defending it!

1170: Cordoba’s Army launches it’s attack on Pasargadae. The musketman falls quickly! Then a pikeman falls. The 14th Cavalry then attacks a spearman in the city. He is forced to retreat! The 16th cavalry is drawn away from the upcoming attack on Samaria and takes Pasargadae . The 18th, 23rd and 24th Cavalry launch an attack on Samaria. The city falls to the 18th.

1180: The mongols attempt to extort Banking from us, but we are the mighty Spanish, we refuse! They remain polite and do not declare war :p. They do however give us physics and 10 gold in return for Banking. This gives us an extra 5 turns for theory of gravity. Sumeria does not yet have Theory ^_^. Considering we are building JS Bach in Madrid as a shield holder, and we will get Theory 1 turn before it is finished, should we actually build it? It does give happiness(well content). We have pulled ahead in score! We are now #1!

1190: The 5th Regiment falls to a spearman attacking Istakhr, the 1st Regiment, which was wounded still destroys a defender! There is still one other spearman in the town. The 23rd and 24th Cavalry arrive next to Antioch and attack. They witnessed Japanese units trying to take the city as possibly 10,000(10 units0 are stationed around the city. The 23rd Retreats and the 24th is destroyed by a pikeman, the same one we witnessed destroying a Japanese samurai.

1210: America and England find peace between them. They begin to focus all efforts against the Persians. Antioch falls to the Japanese.

1220: Cordoba’s Army, the 14th and the 16th Cavalry arrive on a hill next to Arbela a city just south of the Persian capital. They stand ready to attack next turn.

1230: Cordoba’s Army destroys the pikeman in the city. The 14th then attacks the spearman and destroys it. The 16th then attacks another spearman in the city, the city falls! Cordoba’s army and the 18th and 25th cavalry rush to capture Persepolis, the Persian capital, it is also home of the Mausoleum of Massalos, built all the way back in 330 bce.

1240: Japan attempts to rake Persepolis before us! They destroy a Persian spearman, but are unable to take the city. The 18th Calvary destroys a spearman. The 25th takes out it’s own and becomes elite! Cordoba’s army is now all that stands between Spanish conquest and Japanese conquest of the city. It takes the city!
