(I've spent some time searching here for "reinstall" and its variant forms, but found nothing. If there is one and I missed it, I apologize.)
Major virus. Repair required wiping the C:\ drive and reinstalling W7; however D:\ drive, where Civ IV and BTS live, was presumably uninfected and not wiped.
Several files on that drive are missing or damaged, however, and BTS now won't run. Unfortunately, it won't reinstall, either. I get an error message to the effect that some file (a DLL? I didn't write it down) was missing.
I tried reinstalling Civ IV with the intention of installing BTS afterwards, but got the same kind of missing-file message.
Questions: (1) do I have to delete both Civ IV and BTS and reinstall both? If I do, (2) do I have to download every single patch for both games or can I skip some?
I'm sure all of this is some kind of delayed retribution for my misspent youth. :-(
