Religin spread.

Is this possible to totally disable automatic religion spread?

Almost always the whole world is using 1-2 religion in my games.


Also, is this possible to increase tech breakers? Even with inflation, after mid games techs are just too fast. (I am using no tech trading that is some help but not mutch.)

I can modify files if i need to.

Also, Am I the only one who thinks these are not right in the game?

I don't have a problem with religion spread in the game.

You may want to say what kind of map you play, what level you play at, it is, which features you use, etc. These factors have dynamic impacts on game mechanics like religion spread.

Make sure that there is a decent spread of ocean on your map. That should prevent the spread of religions to a certain degree.

Also, try the Fall Further modmod. Not only is it an awesome mod, but it has two more agnostic civs, which should slow the rate of progression of religion as they would never spread or adopt a religion.

sto's alignment options modmod also has an option that disables alignment switching due to religion. This means that good civs can't adopt evil religions and vice versa.

Yeah, it can be changed.

The file to change is CIV4ReligionInfo.xml.

It can be found in Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Fall from Heaven 2 031\Assets\XML\Gameinfo.

In the file each religion will have a "iSpreadFactor" tag. Set it lower to slow down the spread of a religion.

I lowered Leaves and Runes to 85, raised OO to 85, and lowered Order quite a bit and Veil some. (Each is still above 100.) Since then I've been happy with the way religions spread, though I usually play multi-continent games.
