Very rarely have I played a game on Monarch where catching both the religion and wonder bug pay off.
Tonight I started a Standard Pangea as Mehmet. Started next to some gems on grassland (one of the best for an early start). I didn't expressedly chase religion, but I was advancing so fast that I easily got one in my capital. I got Buddhism, yes Buddhism in my second city. The third city was key, I got gutsy and placed it in crevice of three neighbors and right in the middle of the entire continent. It founded Judaism, and was next to masonry.
Bult just about every wonder as I had stone from the second city. Third city got Christiantiy, fourth city got Conf and Tao.
The third city was starting to flip a lot of cities... and everyone liked me because we ALL were Jewish!
Other than a pathetic war by Ramses to try to pillage the marble, all is well.
