Rome is usually one of my top civs. In Civ V, I usually picked Tengriism for my religion and renamed it "Romanism". The symbol was close enough to an eagle for me. That was before the religion mod was added
I really dislike zodiac signs as religious signs.
In the leader civilopedia there is a part that lists Preferred Religion. For Barbarosa, it was Catholicism.Do we know, by the way, whether AI leaders have religious preference, like in Civ 5?
If so, what I would really like to see is for it to be more developed - it was really immersion breaking for me that, if I had both Boadicea and Isabella on the map, one of them would found Buddhism (because Buddhism was the first religion, alphabetically, the AI would choose if it could not found its preferred religion).
Instead, it would be cool if religions were divided according to cultural groups, and the AI chose from the pool if it could not get its first pick (so Christian religious for European culture group; Islam, Zoroastrianism and Judaism for Middle Easter; Taoism, Confusianism and Shintoism for East Asian and Buddhism and Hinduism for Indian/SE Asian).
Here you go, screenshots from the ill-fated Germany LP with all the various relgious icons.
As for my opinion, it seems fine for the most part, but a couple of the Christian crosses seem wrong. I may be wrong here, but the Eastern Orthodoxy cross looks more like what I'd expect for a Catholic cross, and the Catholic cross looks more like a Celtic cross.
When I play England I pick the buddhist symbol, wich is close to the Ship of the line icon and I rename my religion Navigationism.
I'm missing the symbol for the FSM.
I am wondering, if it will be possible to "mod" those symbols simply by throwing new pictures in the related folder?
I just noticed something... do the icons disappear from the bottom once you select them? It looks like they chose an icon that appears to be a circle with wings, but I do not see it on the bottom in either of the pictures... unless I am just overlooking it!

I've wanted this for some time, especially as there are often more than one religion that would make sense for a civ. For example, China might prefer Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism in that order. In the leader civilopedia there is a part that lists Preferred Religion. For Barbarosa, it was Catholicism.
I, too, would like a better way of dealing when a leader's preferred religion is already taken. Perhaps 2 or 3 choices for each leader would suffice. Adding in historical religions would help in that.
But we don't currently have any civs in the game that would logically select Tengriism. I'd expect the Scythians to select Zoroastrianism as the closest religion to theirs, or Orthodoxy as the religion of their descendants. They might have done that to solve the problem in Civ 5 when Religions were first introduced. When someone founded a religion, the symbol would be grayed out. But when you hovered over the symbol, it would say "[civilization] has founded [religion]." But there was a glitch were this would allow you the figure out civs in the game that you hadn't met yet. Eventually this was fixed in a patch.
Anyway, I hope you're right and Tengriism is only missing from the screenshot because somebody already chose it.
is the peacock yazidism?
