Remove negative leader traits

Hello,

here's a quick workaround to remove the negative leader traits.
Working & tested with version 25.

Download:

Installation instructions:

1. Backup your:
C2C\Assets\Modules\Custom_Civilizations -folder
C2C\Assets\Modules\Custom Leaderheads -folder
C2C\Assets\XML\Civilizations\CIV4LeaderHeadInfos.xml -file

2. Extract the files into your C2C installation folder
-For example:
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos

3. Merge all and replace all when prompted

4. "Just have fun!"


This is merely a workaround until a better system is implemented into the mod.
I went through all the CIV4LeaderHeadInfos -files and removed the negative "third traits".
Nothing else has been changed at all.

Thanks to the mod team for their awesome work!

This sounds like a nice fix to an issue some people are having. Glad to know it works with Version 25 too. Thanks for the "workaround." :)

This was more of a personal pet peeve, but since some people seemed yearn for a fix like this, I decided to share.
 
Did you notice that the Italian and the Polish leaders didn't have a third trait? I wonder if it was an oversight?

Yes, I noticed that. I decided to include their files regardless (so nobody would complain that they aren't there :) )

It's most likely an oversight by the mod team.
 
Just for YOU'LL's info, Sgtslick is re-doing the negative/positive traits COMPLETELY, to make a more balanced trait system, he is having some PC problems but will be done soon, JFYI.:)

Sounds awesome, can't wait to see what he comes up with :)

I suspected as much.

My own personal opinion on the traits is that some just have too much in them. And looking in the pedia, well some have 3 traits while others still have 2. And some have so much in them they run out of room to list it all. :p

Some negative traits have bonuses, so maybe you could change the traits theirselves.

Which ones have two? Because that is a bug that should be corrected for V27.
 
Barbarossa and Little Crow off the top of my head. They only show 2 in the 'pedia.

Barbarossa has Aggressive and Seafaring
Little Crow has Nomad, Humanitarian

I think there are more but will have to recheck.

Little crow has a 3rd. Barbarossa needs one though yes. Keep in mind joseph that there are only so many things that can go into the traits, thus for them to be different making lots of little factors is really the only option. This will change when thunderbrd does the extra trait stuff. So keep that in perspective and keep your gun in your holster would you.

Edit: Besides isn't this Zain's Modmod? Was the last time I checked Sgt.

One (or several) of them was so long that it would not fit in the drop down list.

Is Zain still around?
