Removing HOF Entries

I have a couple of Hall of Fame entries that are duplicate...I completed the game in offline mode, and later reloaded and completed it in online mode so I could unlock the relevant achievements. Well, I would like to delete the duplicate entries, without messing up the other entries in the Hall of Fame.

I noticed there are tags indicating the victories in the text file, but then there are also some other semi-gibberish entries near those text entries in the .db file, and I am not sure how much to delete to remove the entry.

Is there a good way to remove entries from the Hall of Fame?

Well, HOF doesn't seem to get carried over on steam if you upgrade to a new machine. (Same would apply if you deleted your local copy and re downloaded)
But that effectively wipes your entire HOF out and not just a few entries.

Deleting replay file wouldn't work? I did it this way if I remember correctly, but it was few patches ago.

Because I always play as a random Civ, my HOF is screwed up every game since it will not carry the Civ Name played into the table and crashes it. To fix it, I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and then installed the SQL Lite Manager (just like people do for mods). After that, you can open the HallOfFameDatabase file and edit the table from there (in your case, delete the duplicate rows; in my case, update the entry for civ name for the game just played).

I'm so glad to have my HOF back! If installing steam to a new machine, you can copy over the HOF file from the old machine to the new, just make sure it's in the same directory (should be self explanatory).

There is a SQLProgram that in fact lets you open the HOF database and delete individual entries. I remember using it on my old machine and it worked like a charm. Since I am at work I can not access the forums of webplay site itself, but I posted the link (courtesy of 2k forums):

Hope that helps.
