Repeatable Crashes at Random Times

Has happened in both the Warlords games I've started. Both playing the Romans as Caesar. The first time it happened in 1770 AD, and I did not save the file. The second game crashes at 1600 BC, and I do have a save file for that. In each case I read loaded the game and witness the crash happen at exactly the same moment each time. Very frustrating!

Is no one else seeing desktop crashes with Warlords?

This is something I never had with the vanilla Civ4 setup.

It's not at random times, and it is totaly repeatable. I have had this problem as well. I notice it when a new civ or a barbarian is seen on the horizon. It happens pretty often for me (6 out of 7 games so far), and once it happens, I must delete that game. It won't run again (I.E. it has a crash again at the same spot no matter what I do).

I'm pretty ticked myself. I love this game, and I have never had such a problem. I expect a patch within a few days, or I am returning it.

I just tried going into World Builder and revealing the whole map. This has at least got me by the turn where I always crashed. A poor solution, but a solution none the less.

Ack! Still crashes several turns later. I never saw anything like until Warlords.

The game crashes just when you meet Mehmet II. I think this guy is causing trouble (CTDs).

Hi

I have seen the other posts on crashes due to Mehmet II, and I am sure that this causes a problem on some systems. I have played warlord games with Mehmet II and my system did not crash. However, I have experienced exactly what Ben Music and monstermattxl did in a game where Mehmet II was not even present.

My game crashes on the year 1770 AD. I saved just before the crash and now I can repeatably crash to the desktop simply by loading that game and clicking return to continue. I have tried opening world builder, but this did not help (I could already see the whole world anyway).

Not sure what the problem is, but it makes me not want to start a new game ...

Any help on this issue would appreciated.
