Big Ten Apologist
Hi-
I don't know anything about programming or modding, but I wanted to throw out a question to see if anyone else has a similar issue...
For some reason (much like in Civ3), I find the BEGINNING portions of the game much more enjoyable than the later stages. For some reason, there is a threshhold where managing too many cities and moving around too many units starts to detract from the enjoyment for me. Subsequently, I leave most games unfinished because I would rather get the enjoyment of starting a new game rather than gutting it out for a time victory (and I despise the whole 'space-race' thing). Sometimes I get a domination victory, and am usually pretty releived.
Is there any possible way to make a program/mod that would, in effect, 'finish' the game for you so you could get a score recorded? Like, maybe (as I've heard it does with the online version when someone drops out) change the human player to AI and play out the rest of the game to see what the score would be? I realize that unless you at least got to the point where you had an overwhealming advantage, that this would sometimes result in a loss.
I don't even know if this would be possible, but I wanted to put it out there to see what others thought.
