Resolution ? x ?

Will the game be able to set more than one resolution? Civ 3 was only 1024 x 768... just wondering

I saw some of the recent Civ4 screenshots in 3 different resolutions: 1024x768, 1280x960, and 1600x1200.

You can play Civ3 in your 'natural' resolution by adding the line KeepRes=1 to your Civ3.ini file in your Civ3 folder (or PTW.ini file in PTW folder or conquests.ini file in your C3C folder). It won't affect screens like diplomacy (F4), domestic (F1), et cetera, but it will affect the map.

it affects your city screen, so you have black border around it, it is disturbing

It uses the same engine as Pirates!, right? Well, in that case everything that is possible with it should be possible with cIV.

Hopefully Firaxis adds 1280 x 1024 resolution because 1280x960 resolution messes up my monitor.

I'd like to see some wide-screen support, adding the keepres=1 line made the city screen way too small, if they needed the resolution at 1024 they should atleast have scaled it.
