Resource overflow bug info

To MeteorPunch and Axolotl, I have an extremely low opinion of individuals who like to add illegal substances to any game, be it D and D or Civ3, or any other. As for your views on the "War on Drugs", I disagree with them, and unlike Voltaire, I will NOT defend to my death your right to express them.

Edit Note: Have to give the moderators something to do to justify their existence.

There's a game where you can nuke cities, sacrifice captured workers, raze cities and colonies, wage war on other nations, and you are concerned about a pot ressource? Sorry, but this is amusing. :) Don't be so serious.

Many people have an aversion toward individuals who, for the sake of self glorification through condemning others, publicly post their self-righteous views that show their lack of education and flagrant ignorance.

We Thank them for their concern about the age and health of others... and in that same vein, they should have a douche and see their Doctor for a pap smear.

What Ares said. You're going to have a cow over a plant (which, like it or not, exists in real life and plays a big role in human society) in a game where you can have people whipped to death to build a library faster? Fortunately, timerover, I don't need you to have a good opinion of me, to defend me, or even to download any such mod as I may create eventually. Just in case, though, I'll create a special version just for you in which the only resource is a "chill pill."

Back to the topic on hand, I suppose I'll do some experimenting on controlled ghosting when I get them time and let you all know what I find out.

I've done some extensive testing this morning and I think that I may have to dispute cornplanters findings.

MeteorPunch, you are right in saying that keeping the strat/lux's to a max of 32 and making them the first 32 allows you to add as many bonuses as you like with out issue.

My finding earlier with the luxuries being counted by row seems to hold true for strategic resources as well.

If you don't have all your strat/lux resources in the first 32 positions then it seems that the only rule is to count columns of 32 resources and have only one strategic resource or luxury resource per row.

Pounder, if you have only on strategic or luxury resource per row of 32, can you exceed the 32 combined resource limitation or do you still encounter the "ghost" resource problem?

Pounder... That is exactly correct. I have had the same problem.

Best to list the first 32 Resources as Strategic or Luxury Resources then the Bonus Resources... Otherwise, it causes problesms :(

The Strategic or Luxury Resources need to be placed in the Editor BEFORE the Bonus Resources to avoid Problem.
