Resources distribution, how?

Hi all , im interested on modding the game a bit,i have a question, i think this s the rigth place to do it

Im interested in how can i control the resources distribution on random maps, like horses, cows, etc, how can i redistribute them in the map, some resources (like horses) could be more homogenus dispersed (like 1 horse every 50 aquares) but avoiding a bunch of horses on few squares
