Today I finally got my computer back and set up after three months of gathering dust at my exes flat. In gaming terms, that's a pretty long time! I've missed out on a lot of stuff and gaming experiences.

So, while spring cleaning all my old programmes and files I'm looking forward to purchasing new PC games. Anything new that I should be looking for. Just recommend anything you've enjoyed playing, don't worry about genres or specs, just want to hear some friendly gamer advice.

It's good to be back! :D

I'll shamelessly subscribe to this thread, as i am out of the loop myself. (And i don't even have an excuse!)
The most recent game i played and could recommend is The Bard's Tale.
It's a (in parts) hillarious satire on the whole "high adventure" RPG genre. Unfortunatly, the gameplay is a bit tendious sometimes.
Well worth renting from the video store, but maybe not good enough to buy.

Oblivion is fancy looking, but the dialouges are TES standart (read: boring). The quests are a mixed bag as well an the combat system doesn't convince me, either. I don't regret getting the game, but i had hoped for more.

I bought Star Wars: Empire at War. I've heard mixed reviews, but I really wanted a Star Wars game.

Sadly I haven't had much of a chance to play it as I've rediscovered my old love - Battlefield 2 :D
