RFC: BtS Bug Reports

Looking at Stability.py in 1.180 it appears the Ziggurat doesn't give a stability bonus.

Looking again,
Code:
                elif (iBuilding >= con.iHeroicEpic and iBuilding <= con.iOlympicPark): #wonder
                ...
                ...
                elif (iBuilding >= con.iCourthouse or iBuilding == con.iAztecSacrificialAltar): #courthouse
                               ^^^^

It looks like it is giving the bonus for Zigs, but also for all religion buildings.

In the first save it prompts me to raze Sur, but if I try to do it, Sur doesn't actually get razed. In the second save I can raze it. The second save is the turn after I researched Calendar, so maybe it has to do with to Stonehenge.

Ethiopian starting work boat spawns in a lake and can't be moved unless building a fort on the caws (which is not a good idea...)

I don't know if this belongs into the "Minor Suggestions"-Thread or into this thread. Well anyway, I'll try this one first. :)
First of all: I'm playing with the latest BtS-Version of RFC (v1.181) together with BtS 3.13, all in German.
I have two things to report. The first is that the historic goals in the victory screen don't fit into the available space in the german version of RFC (see screenshot). Is it possible to word wrap the text of the goals or maybe give them more space in the same line?
Second thing is that the display of gold per turn is in English although I'm playing in German (see screenshot). Is it possible to fix this? I don't have any programming knowledge, I just compared some Python-files of the new version with the one that came with BTS and didn't have that bug. So I'm just guessing that it's maybe connected to the mercenary-screen.
Thanks for reading. :)

I don't think this has been posted yet, (sorry if it has), I'm observing that a lot of European civilizations are being able to make peace with the natives long before the New World is discovered.

While playing as England, I got the chance to make peace (through random events) right off the bat, (before 1000 AD.) I refused, Spain accepted though later before it even had the chance to conquer the New World.

Don't forget, there are Natives in Africa that are in contact from very early on, and these are the ones to worry about. The Native Americans are mincemeat for the Europeans when they arrive whatever happens (although the shoddy AI sometimes lets them capture a city or two). There's only one Native civ, so you can make peace with both with this event.

There's really no need to refuse the peace offer, anyway. You can always attack them later if they get in the way, and they don't found cities except for the auto-spawning ones in Africa. The peace event can be a life-saver for Ethiopia and Egypt (although I've never seen Egypt get it).

Napoleon just asked me to adopt Hereditary Rule. I don't know if this was intended or not... in the non-modded game his favorite civic is Representation. Louis's is Hereditary Rule.

I am encountering a CTD with a "we're sorry but the program must close" message.

Here is a link to the save just before the crash (has happened 5 times on 2 different computers:

Found a bug in the Great Depression. As China I got a message that my empire is experiencing a period of Great Depression. As I have the Cristo Redendor, I switched out of Free Market into Environmentalism, and on the next turn got another message about Great Depression.

Found a bug in the Great Depression. As China I got a message that my empire is experiencing a period of Great Depression. As I have the Cristo Redendor, I switched out of Free Market into Environmentalism, and on the next turn got another message about Great Depression.

I had this exact same thing happen to me as Germany. However, I switched as soon as I got the first message and I only got two further messages of being in depression. A previous Great Depression in the same game lasted for far longer (not sure how long, but certainly at least 6 turns and probably lots more than that - it seemed like forever!).

So I'm not sure this is a bug, it could be that you once you go into Great Depression you have at least two-three turns of it even if you switch immediately.

That is very possible, I always thought that you could end one by changing civics.

Of course I also just got the Democracy instability message when shifting from Republic to Democracy, which I know is not supposed to cause stability issues.

My Civics stability is 2star and dropping while running Democracy, Free Speech, Emancipation, Free Religion, Environmentalism and Commonwealth.

Explain THAT one to me...

The Moai Statues can be destroyed when a city is captured.

The Apostolic Palace decision "Declare Peace" doesn't always work. Playing as Portugal, I was in war with Spain and the Aztec. After the decision, the war with Spain stopped, but the war with the Aztec continued, although I couldn't contact them (the RFC feature). When I saw them again, I was still in war with them.

I forgot to save the game:blush::(

As a follow up to the above bug that I reported, with attached saved file, the problem seems to lie with the worker unit at Greece Citchen Itza. I suspect something screwed up when Greece conquered chitchen Itza.

Press Enter. Persia will collapse and Ur will flip to Babylon (with the message that it was "captured") even though it just flipped to rising Arabia.

As has happened in some past versions, playing as Persia, Athens flipped to me. I took the city, but independent culture is pressuring me. I then get a message in red that a Persian revolt has occurred in Athen, then the same message in green.

Was this in fact caused by the independent culture?

If the Aztecs aren't Christians and don't have Christianity in any of their cities, AP rulings don't affect them. (Assuming this is the 600 AD start and therefore the AP is Christian.)
