re: the Tocharians, I may move their start date forward to just before or after the Bactrians to make their goals harder.

I'm also trying to make it harder to get open borders but it seems like the hidden attitude modifiers still act strange sometimes.

Ptolemaic 3rd UHV still doesn't works, have 7 mediterranean ports but 6/7 : Alexandria, Tyros, Pelusion (Sinai), Cyrene, Tarse, Rhodos, Paphlos (Cyprus).
Can someone help me with this ? What are you doing for this UHV ? Which cities are to take or found ?

Srpt, up this update quickly ! Need to do another game asap ! :D

From python:

Code:
if gc.getMap().plot(pCity.getX(), pCity.getY()).getRegionID() in [con.rGreece, con.rThrace, con.rAsia, con.rCrete, con.rRhodes, con.rCyprus, con.rCappadocia, con.rSyria, con.rJudea, con.rEgypt, con.rLibya]:

re: the Egyptian goal.I just did an commit of just the victory file. hopefully it works now. any cities in those provinces will work (the provinces are also listed in the Read me) as long as they are actually on the medditerranean and not the red or black sea.

the Tocharians don't start with Currency right now so they can't hire mercs right away.

there's also some new unit art coming. the old Hoplite/Phalangite art is now the generic Greek Heavy Spearman, the Phalangite has new art, as does the Uazali (Pontic UU). the city-specific Greek heavy spearman mercs are unchanged.

those changes mentioned earlier are committed now. there are also many new tech buttons.

@Cetrix: I really hope the 3rd Egyptian goal is working now. the cities you mentioned should all count

edit: just added most of the Indian and Chinese city names from the old city name map (from the small map). some may be misplaced, let me know if you see anything glaring

Another bug with Ptolemaic 1st UHV : I built Great Library and Great Lighthouse before 150 BC (in 168BC) in Alexandria, but the goal is already failed.

@Cetrix: I moved the goal to 180BC because I did it and I thought 150 was too easy. forgot to update the text.

@Crossphazer: make sure you are at revision 678 before starting on your changes.

@srpt I at 678. Plus, the only changes I'm currently making is updating the dictionaries for Latin, Greek and a bit of Persian (and more).

STILL BUGGY. Working on it.

Edit: Oh and srpt, do we want Latin or Greek names for the Byzantines? Will there be a ~600 AD language shift? (etc)

Edit: alright, added a fair bit to the dictionaries. here

Fixed a few city names (most to make them Greek at start) in the 320 start map.
Byzantines untouched (except for Edessa -> Justinopolis)

the repeats like "Roma" : "Roma" need to be there for reconquest

at revision 680 now. hidden attitude modifiers are working properly and no leader will open borders at cautious.

also moved Baktra another tile west and moved resources accordingly, making space for a small sheep and gems city up river at the Alexandria on the Oxus spot.

gave the Satavahanas 1 more settler to make up for not flipping anything and made a spot for a small timber and elephant city northeast of Pratishthana.

tried Bactria but missed the Palace and Royal Mint goal by a few turns.

trying Bactria again. looks like the Romans got up on the right side of the bed this time at least: they have Tyre and Damascus in 219BC.

Oh, I know those, I meant more like
"Taxila" : "Taxila",
"Takshashila" : "Taxila",

which is incorrect

So this is the map with the Levant cities default names at start changed to Greek.
Edit: in the newest revision, I think only Seleukeia is off now.

And this is the python file with nothing changed but the dictionaries. Unfortunately it is crashing for me. Maybe you can find my bug.
Edit: also had to update two lines or so for the newest revision.
