(RFC3E) Welcome to RFCEurope Enhanced Edition

I have introduced a mod version variable to keep track of changes in the mod. It simplifies the process of identifying which mod version someone is currently using.
You can see the version you're currently using in the "Game details" section, see the screenshot. This is taken from @Leoreth in RFC DOC, see this post.
Do not hesitate to share it when you describe a bug or an issue with RFC3E. Thanks!

Here's is a rough map that I worked on. Only minor edits to Russia, just the rivers so there's a lot of plains leftover. I don't know which resources should go where because of balancing. There's probably plenty of details to finalize, but the coastline is shifted.
Baron03 has done some good work on the eastern portions of the map. Armenia and Georgia are now also viable for this mod, which is nice, the Arabs won't be so cramped, and you can have cool Russian-Ottoman action.

Hey Voigt, did you used the same dawn of man text in the 1200scenario as it is in the 500? I think a few could be new for early civs. I can try to give you some.

Hi, I changed it last may, see here. You can see the content of the text here. If you have some suggestion, please. Actually with the new changes I made over the dawn of man screen, reducing the text to 3 or 4 lines (eg 2 or 3 sentences) would improve things, because of the scrollbar. It's just a matter of aesthetics.

I see, never played the 1200AD since it was always an untested and unbalanced thing. I can see, some are really long. Will look into it

Byzantine: a crusade is on the way to egypt, Council of Nicaea divided religion, weak borders

France: too long. crusades, english, importance of the priesthood

Arabs: too long, original text is fine, just need to edit it to be shorter

Bulgaria: 2ns Bulg mpE at its hight, but you have less than what you start in 700ad ....its just off. About the text, cut it after you won some key battles.

Venice: Cut text before: It's the 4th crusade... and end by: ...grander than that.

Germans: I see a trend here. It is a text nobody reads, so why so long? imo it should be max 3 sentences. But we can just keep them as they are. nothing really wrong with them. SO lets not make more work, that shouldn't be.

So I did a test game with Russia. It seems better than the old one, but I think flipping Belozero is a bit too much. The time to kill all barbs are very tight, maybe exclude Kuban since its super far away from any action. My biggest problem however are the random spawning in keshiks. Got 2 in 1404 within 2 tiles of Moscow and another 2 in 1420. Thats not something you can handle. Or should you? The economy seems better btw, thats a plus.

Glad to hear it was better than the old one. The goal behind adjusting the flip zone was to make it more historical, and this includes Beloozero. Smolensk remains independent or accurately conquered by Lithuania. Tver remains independent as well alongside Ryazan.

I personally think that Russia’s barbarian UHV should be changed to conquering Novgorod’s area by 1478, because historically, Russia didn’t properly control the Wild Fields until much later. This would be an unrealistic goal with the new eastward expansion map anyway. However, they did conquer Novgorod and that seems like a good early goal.

I didn’t adjust any Keshik spawns for Russia, only the ones for the Kievan Rus. Russia’s keshik spawning will likely need to be adjusted when the new map is implemented anyway.

A small sidenote however, I hate how close are to each other those 3 cities. Ryzan and the 2 that flips. It's Russia, let's not be crowded.

Yes, I was unsure about that. It may work best for Murom to turn into a town on Moscow’s spawn, or adjust in a similar manner.

Hey! Did you followed the installation guide here ? After doing so, are you still having issues with the game startup?

Hello! It seems it always gives "fatal: repository RFCEurope does not exist" its a clone but idk what to do
Okay i managed to actually get it set up. So it takes longer to load but it is still original RFCEurope i dont see any new civilizations like Bohemia or Serbia maybe inside the game. I dont know where i did wrong

Do you have the game interface that looks like in the first post (here)? If so, it means that you have install the right modmod (RFC3E).
At the moment, these new civs haven't been added to the game. I've rewritten most of the codebase and applied the BUG and BULL mods.
In near future, I'll finish a few chore tasks and rewrite the plague feature.
