A standard game of FFH starts just after the civs in the game have left their cave homes of the Ice age and climbed out into the world above. I find it strange that they all surface and begin to devellop at the same time.
Wouldn't it be interesting if, during the Ice stage of development, a scenario was created to be similiar to Rhye's and Fall of civilization. Instead of everyone leaving at once, civs would spawn at different times throughout the game with only a few being present at the very beginning.
It would be even better if the civs could have historical victory conditions like they do in Rhye's.
How this would work would be that some civs start off at the begining with very limitted resources such as settlers and units. The civs that were strong during the age of ice, of the top of my head, were the doveillo and the amurites. The Illians were mostly destroyed so I'd imagin they'd need to regroup a bit before ''spawning''.
Then as the game continues, orc barbarians would begin to trouble some amurite towns. There would be waves of barbarians every so often until Jonas becomes the leader and begins to organise them. The orcs would then ''spawn'', with more resources then the original civs to make up for their later start.
Civs that I think would spawn later on are the calabim (their vampires lords are immortal and so would see no rush to venture blindly into the unknown, they'd make sure they were prepared first) and the Bannor.
When the bannor spawn, it would be fitting for them to leave some sort of Hell gate at their spawn location, that demons would occasionally attack from.
Later on in the game the infernals and angels could spawn in a similiar way.
many nations, like the hippus and malakim, would be barbarians before they officially spawned to represent them before they were united and turned into a civilization.
Any thoughts?
Would this even be possible?
