Rhye's of Civilization - the fastest loading mod Expanded - PART II

Berlin just defected to me (in RGC2), as the Russians had taken it a few turns earlier. I'm already at 3 cities in Europe.

So, can I accept it and abandon it in this case? (without the penalty for abandoned cities in Europe?) I guess the answer is no, but just want to be sure. (I would rather the Russians not have it, so if I can't abandon it I guess I can give it to someone.)

Another question: Are the spices in the Maldives and in Papua considered part of Asia?

Ok, now that we KNOW that there is respawning, what shall I do with those annoying far away newborn Indians? :)

I am playing the 3rd run, and have just ended the Mayans, err, sent them into exile far South-America...

Can I leave them alive?
I feel I have more important tasks than chasing a fly...

Dutch - Western Way
3rd run, reached the 1800 checkpoint.

Rhye, I left those Mayans alive in south Argentina...
May I still get the points for them?
By the way, this time around it was only them I could get over with...

Uhh, I was lucky with this 1800 checkpoint,
I managed to get the most culture worldwide! :))
It was only by the edge... :)

The Germans are the Superpower in this 3rd-run game,
they do me good help clearing not needed European civs from America, hehe... :)

In 1808, Amsterdam has about 9600 culture, and goes at rate 93/turn...
Not gonna end before 1900 :(, but I yet consider it a good result for me...

Now I just need to use this remaining time to make colonization and trading,
plus securing the tobaccos, and, oh, building the India T. Company!... :)

I am frustrated. After some days of pause, I decided to come back to the game. BUT yesterday I had to format the hdd and reinstall everyhing. I made a backup of scenarios and saves folders, so I tought there would have been no problems. But I forgot that I don't know why my installation has wrong names for some flc and wav files, so my game crushed again and again. In the beginning I couldn't even load after 38% because of a frigatefidget.wav missing. Then for a muskettersomething.wav. Then for something else. When I finally managed to resume my oldgame, after 2 turns it crushed for a missing battleshipfidget.wav. GRR. That 2 turns required me about 100 minutes...
So I am pausing again. I hope to manage to finish..
Regarding AI respawn, I eliminated only the mayans and when their last city was taken (if I remeber correctly), I found them again in south south america. I tought that was a wondering settler on a ship. When I destroyed that city, they were gone. They are not even in the diplomacy screen. So I think eliminate AI is possible.

God luck and (wel)come back! :)

Respawn: Yes, of course, you CAN eliminated them, at the second time.
But it means time and effort wasted which I do not think Rhye intended when setting the goals... with this respawning, i don't think it is possible to eliminate 3 or 4 nations in the Americas... 2, maybe...

I couldn't resist. I am playing again and the game seems stable now. Ritual sacrifice in 1900 by the dutch is rather cool.... Only a few turns...

I find impossible, following the western route, to get elephants, camels and wine. The others have only one source of each. And they won't trade. Damn

Obviously after I said that elephants are impossible to get, I gave computers for them to england... Now, WHERE are the camels?

Finished. Cultural Victory, 2000 AD (I decided to go for it too late to finish earlier)
1294 Points, if the points for every 100 score are rounded down. If up 1295.
And damn, couldn't have camels, so the 30 for the resources are gone.

I want to send m saves, but in the site you say that the address is no longer the same address, so I'd like to know where.

Farewell

unveiled the arcane...
tonight I'll gather the savegames.

farewell.

I have also finished - the western route...

Victory in 1918!
Amsterdam got over 13000...

I don't have strategic resources either...
BUT I managed to not let the required nations to have any cities in America! :)

It was exciting, I can tell,
the English and the Spanish both had two,
England in the Caribbeans,
Spain in South Am.
I had a war in the Falklands where I could only capture the city
only with the second attack of my last lancer,
who had a last hit point to make it!
(to attack an also 1 HP defender)
And it was really all or nothing,
for the Spanish were in front of another city of mine to capture it...
But this way I could get peace and no Spanish city in the Americas...

I do hope I covered all the tobaccos...

I will send the files...
Rhye, I reloaded three times during the game,
all because of forgetting doing a move or setting I planned,
never for better combat results - will that qualify?

...er, I just want to say and express that
it was a most wonderful experience for me to play this game,
it was exciting and fun from start to finish,
never a dull moment, really! :)

Rhye, :goodjob:

Is one able to use the speed portion of the mod without the rest?

Why is it you have so many versions of settlers that seem to have all the same stats and abilities but just keep getting more expensive and require more population?

Actualy, this is one of the main reasons this mod is fast... :)

This way AI can't settle fast, there are fewer things to deal with inbetween turns

GMC 2

I counted for myself the points I have gathered,
without the ones I might get for time (with the date 1918):

General: 1001 points (for the score ca. 1160 I gave myself 11 GMC points)
West ITC: 455

This means 1456 GMC points, so far...

More is certainly possible,
For me the Germans had more money in 300,
and I attacked only the Mayans for points
(I sent therm into exile before 1800 and eliminated them later...).
And I didn't have strategic resources, either.

I ended in 1918,
built the India Trading Company in 1904... :)

soma, your total of general bonuses seems to be a little different.
Can you send me by PM or mail yours?
I won't reply nor post the details for anybody, but I can accept checking your own count if they don't match.

By the way, I think that posting your own score here is an advantage for the other players, who is encouraged to do better. It's better if you write your own score in the mail with the saves. However, if you don't mind giving this advantage, I couldn't care less, it's up to you ;)
