New post!

Looks like Valkrionn's ambitious "1 post per day or so" didn't work as he expected  Today's post is about some changes to the interface that I made.

Enjoy!

One per day would mean he would have to release it too soon. After all, it was slated in January or something. Let's tinker a few more months for good measure? :mischief:

Something I'd like is a feature that lets me check the promotions of enemy units. As a new player, I can't simply recognize all of the promotions by just looking at their small icon.

Is there a possibility for this?

Nice work, Opera. In particular, the star drawing attention to civ-unique objects in techs will really be helpful.

Looks sweet. Has any work gone into the Civics. When you're told "-X% cash, +1 trade route, medium upkeep it's kinda hard to determine whether you're better off sticking with what you've got or not.

Hey hey now, it was every other day, and that was with the idea that we'd all be posting. If it's just me doing it, I'd rather save my time for development work.

Nice post, btw. :goodjob:

Very nice improvements. I've always thought that Civ IV could use some fairly simple interface improvements to make it more user-friendly.

Opera, one feature I requested is, where it displays how much gold you'd save if you built a Courthouse, do that for every modifier :)

So, culture, gold, commerce, food, science, and production.

Maybe, display how far each city is generating for your empire alignment-wise? (When its developed more. And, would be good for Fallen Ages :p )

If not, a counter somewhere that shows you stuff like that?

Oh, and a relatively small thing. The little dashes on the tech/GP bar.

Actually, I'm really quite fond of the interface from the remake of Colonization in one aspect (Well, more than one, but in specific...), that it has a button you press to bring up a list of the possible promotions when you have any, instead of having them take up the section with the unit actions. So, would it be possible to do something like this for both promotions and spells? Even if it's something that is "choose this action to expand/collapse the spells/promotions buttons?" and when collapsed nothing but the button "action" to expand it is displayed from that category?

What could possibly make you hate such an minor feature?
