Immediately after taking the previous screenshot I get the message that the Romans are destroyed by the Zulu. 1 more down, 1 less to go.
Remember Niagara Falls ??
Well look again.
50% more research, nearly 30% more shields. I am happy.
It's time to start another war. Hittities need to die. But not immediately. My Spy attempt fails, but no war. Spy attempts succeed with the Portuguese, Germans, Chinese and French. 15 other attempts fail.
I notice the Germans are dying quickly and I also notice why. No techs for their Panzers and to resources. I gift them all the way up to Motorized transportation + I gift them Oil and also 2000 gold for rushing. The longer they can remain a power, the longer the Babylonians are wasting units on them.
I spend a little pocketmoney.
And I earn a little pocketmoney.
The Mongols make no more money. The Koreans have destroyed them. It's 1495 AD. The Aztecs destroy the French. It's 1500 AD. I learn Synthetic Fibres. It's 1500 AD. I finish SETI. It's 1500 AD.
I have a mountain of tanks that I can upgrade to Modern Armors, but I decide to only upgrade a few.
Why ???
Well, Hattusas - reachable with modern armor, has Leonardo's and that'll give me a discount on the other upgrades. Yes, I am cheap ...
I manage to plant a spy with the Hittites. That means a peak at their forces - just before the attack.
135 Infs is quiet something. And I need to deploy my eastern task force as well. The Hittites captuerd a German city ....
Well, here we go.
And:
Nothing to report; the 20 modern armors were not enough to capture Hattusas. So I upgrade a Stack of 50+ tanks to Modern armor without Leo's. The next stack of 50 will -hopefully- be upgraded with Leo's help.
The Hittites move in their Infantry against my cities. So I form a Mech Inf army on my besieged city.
I have saved up armies and they are filled now, with the 50 modern armors I upgraded last turn. They do their work.
And Canterbury falls as well, as expected.
I end my turn with a little investment.
