i decided a while ago that if this ever got back to me i would retire and send it on. instead i will hold off on that and wait to see if this picks up some steam again.

Don't retire! Just think of this as a one-year game! If its only coming around once a week, its only using up 5 minutes a week, so what's to lose?

If you want serious turn-around, play a game with one friend in the same time zone with a lot of AI's (then you get to do the how-long-till-we-stop-working-together-to-kill-AIs-before-the-inevitable-stab-in-the-back dance!). I'm playing three turns a day in an RaR game with a close friend who recently moved.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to withdraw from this game... I'm holding things up too much. With school starting up again and me finally getting Civ4 to work on my laptop, I just don't have the time or motivation to keep this going. Sorry!

This game isn't really going anywhere. I'm playing a succession game, another PBEM, and a 2-player PBEM (RaR; started in October, and I just got Industrialism!). Doesn't bother me if this one trails off. If you guys want to restart, I'm in. Preferably with fewer players and some AI.
