Hello, Sir!
I'm planning to start a Rise of Nations AAR sometime, but I have three questions.

1. What does "AAR" stand for?
2. How do you take a screenshot in Rise of Nations?
3. Which Conquer the World Campaign and Nation do we want to pick? These are the CtW Campaigns for those who don't know.

Alexander the Great (0 votes)
Napoleon (1 vote)
New World (5 votes)
Cold War (4 votes)
Entire World (2 votes)

1. After Action Report

2. You can press the Print Screen button, which copies a picture of the screen to the clipboard (which is where things go when you copy and paste them).

You should cehck the options menu though, some games have an assignable screenshot function which will send the screenshot ot a folder in the game's files.

Or I would recomend getting Fraps (free at www.fraps.com) which is a screenshot and movie taking program for games.

3. New World

Cold War was always my fav, plus we need another Soviet AAR :p

Fraps costs money.

I suggest Fsscreen, it is free and reliable.

Fraps is free and paying for it is optional (but unlocks a few features). I have never had any problems with it, and it has been quite useful having the FPS overlay in the corner. It also only uses 5000 k of RAM.

or just click print screen than open paint and and go edit, paste.

I suggest
Napoleon
or
Cold War

they last longer I think.

Entire World or New World as Britain, let us raise the Union Jack high!

Right now its a tie between New World, Entire World, and Cold War (each with 2 votes) I'd lean toward a Cold War thing as the Soviets but...

The playable nations in "The New World" are the British, French, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Lakota, Iroquois, Aztecs, Mayans, Incans, and Americans.

I say cold war, we already have a rome AAR, and old medieval AAR, EU 3 AAR, know its time for a cold war one....

BTW, I've also wanted to make a RoN AAR but I just didn't know where to start.

I definetely agree here.

But it looks like most people want me to do a New World AAR as Britain. *Sigh* I guess I'll start it sometime today.

If you don't want to write up a story playing as Britain, then don't do it. No point starting an AAR if you're not going to get enjoyment out of it yourself.

Yeah, Kan has it on the money. Pick a scenario you like, something your interested in and something you'll enjoy writing about. If it's a chore then there's no point.

Plus it is about time we had a Soviet AAR. We will bury them, comrades!! :D
