    Actually, most of it was just messing around with Blender. Some very useful tools are the "select more" option in edit mode (for those who use blender...), it really quickens the deletion process.

    Very nice model, but some of the textures look slightly off (the central part of the beard especially).

    I like it, but it looks kind of strange how the blue-and-red-plaid pattern doesn't end where charlemagne's cape/cloak does.

    in an earlier version, the tartan went all the way across his chest. The collar messed up that look. I think that the way that plaid drapes on him looks natural.

    BTW the plaid on this Robert are the colors of the Bruce clan.
